Which is the one too buy, Synthetic 08-03-2002, 03:52 PM Well, I'd say get an X-BOX, just because I prefer its selection of games over the PS2. Roy@ENHOST 08-03-2002, 04:07 PM But PS2 has much much much more selection of games! I vote for PS2 Originally posted by Synthetic Well, I'd say get an X-BOX, just because I prefer its selection of games over the PS2. FDrive 08-03-2002, 04:13 PM I had to make this decision myself a little while back. While the xbox has nicer hardware (it's essentially a computer), the games for the PS2 are much better. Metal Gear: Solid, Grand Theft Auto 3, Final Fantasy X are all fantastic, to name a few... the xbox has maybe one above-average game, Halo. Andrew 08-03-2002, 04:16 PM Yeah, I'd definately have to go with PS2 as well. SimonMc 08-03-2002, 05:09 PM This time around...PS2...wait and see what happens when you are trading in. These things are only good for a couple of years at most...well if you want to keep on top of the technology anyway. Personally I have a PS1 which to be honest is just gathering dust. Occaisionaly it comes out for a bit of Tiger Woods..but that is really about it. Simon Acroplex 08-03-2002, 05:14 PM Nintendo cube. BenSummers 08-03-2002, 05:26 PM i have both and id say ps2 mainly because of games and you can use its dvd feature out of the box Xbox needs a seperatly purchased remote P.S. i won my xbox from taco bell woohoo! Gem Hexen 08-03-2002, 07:08 PM XBox! Also, make this a poll. RackFive 08-03-2002, 07:50 PM i prefer my atari mwatkins 08-03-2002, 07:52 PM I prefer the original "Pong" game, although, sadly, I never was able to beat the machine. still can't get that 'bip' ... 'bip' ... 'bip' sound out of my head! IGobyTerry 08-03-2002, 11:50 PM X-Box definitely. Sega GT Rally, World Series Baseball, Halo, Max Payne will rival any of PS2's game selection. The only reason X-Box wasn't DVD ready is because to make the cost lower because when you put that little DVD Ready symboll on something, you have to pay. So why make the user's pay who don't want it for the DVD player? APEXware 08-04-2002, 12:24 AM I vote for the Turbo Grafx 16! Seriously though, I like the PS2 games better. Global-Host2 08-04-2002, 03:37 PM X-BOX and a features no one else mentioned. Online multiplayer, free. Theres tons of these programs which just use your hub and your internet to setup a lan. My personal favorite gamespys xbox tunnel. Halo with up to 14 people is nice. edude 08-04-2002, 04:31 PM Xbox aswell i have one sitting right next to me, looks good and doesnt sound as loud as ps2. RackMy.com 08-04-2002, 07:13 PM I love my PS2 :) cbaker17 08-04-2002, 07:18 PM ive had my ps2 for like over a year and have played it 3 times heh... although i just picked up red faction and thats fun so i may play it a bit more. filburt1 08-04-2002, 07:20 PM X-Box has cooler-looking games. I'd take a computer over a console any day though, I loathe console controllers. cbaker17 08-04-2002, 07:24 PM heh you better compare xbox's controllers to ps2's because xbox controllers are huge and suck.... and trust me ps2 has better games out there for their play value.... alpha 08-04-2002, 07:29 PM Originally posted by cbaker17 heh you better compare xbox's controllers to ps2's because xbox controllers are huge and suck.... and trust me ps2 has better games out there for their play value.... I think gaming companies lost the idea of making the controller fit comfortably in *everyone's* hands... well, actually, the PS controllers are fine - but I liked the simplicity of those 2-button NES controllers... speaking of which, I want to play some duck hunt :stickout *edit* sorry, realized I was horribly off topic... I'd say go with neither: they are both a waste of time :) you can find equally good games on PC-platform :stickout F.N 08-05-2002, 01:09 AM "it's a Sony!" ;) ho247 08-05-2002, 03:32 AM xBox all the way! I've had an xBox for about 1-2 months now and I'm just impressed by the graphics and the gameplay on it... the controller is very comfortable, as I don't like the smaller pads. For games... well Halo is just THE best xBox game and also Rally Sport Challenger is a good game with very nice graphics. Alan phatronic 08-05-2002, 03:45 AM X-BOX, love the size of it :-) |
