I signed up back in 2004 (maybe earlier) with, apparently, Online Data Corp.

Everything was fine until October 31, 2007 when apparently someone opened a second merchant account for me. I was charged an additional $10 monthly fee for it.

I've called maybe 8 different phone numbers and spoken to many people. There have also been some faxes - both sent and received - involved. Somehow I talked to e-onlinedata who said they sold half their company and some people are now just with onlinedata (no e). This is a shame because I was actually able to talk to e-onlinedata.

Online Data appears to not have any way to contact them. The number I have leads to a generic merchant support phone number who tell me to call my agent. Calling that number calls some auction website support line.

Is there any way to figure out what is going on?
If not - anyone know how to completely cancel all of this garbage, so I can just sign up with a provider who actually still exists?

Has this happened to anyone else?

Seems you can cansel yourrecuring payment.
Try to contact your bank. I think that they will be able to solve this.

It is my understand that EOD started out as agents with iPayment, then later moved to Global and recently were sold to PowerPay.

Amusive, do you get monthly statements for that 2nd account that you are trying to cancel? What is the address and phone # on that merchant statement? That would be the best point of contact to cancel it in most cases.

Yeap.. sometimes these cases happened.. usually there;s an agreement when you signed up to any deal that price change or anything change would be executed without any notification bla bla bla.. so it's all back to the service providers' integrity...

Did you call this number? 888-780-2777 I would try to reach their risk department at option 3.

I did call that number, I didn't try the risk department though. I am just going to cancel my account (somehow) and get a new merchant account somewhere else, where there is still a company I can get ahold of.
