oh and basically you just download plesk 2.5.3 and do a ./plesk.version.blah

and i think that does it not sure check thier install guide in plesk.com download section though i know its there

Just install Redhat or FreeBSD on the server and then download Plesk from the web site which also contains more detailed installation instruction.

yeah!

Just really make sure you dont already have mysql, php, fetchmail etc installed - otherwise it will be a royal pain in the ass

ok, i got all that down. would redhat or freebsd be better? opinions wanted please! but i mean how do i set up the dns and all?

I would suggest to buy Psa by one of their golden or platinum resellers. Some of them offer a low monthly fee including assistance and setting up.

the place that i am hosting doesnt do control panel licences or anything. so i have to do that all myself. what i need to know if how do i setup the dns and what all do i have to have pointed to where for my domains?
