I am considering a change of hosts and am looking for the following main features:
Space 50 megs
Bandwidth 4gigs/month
email accounts 50
unlimited sub-domains
cgi-bin,perl5,php4,SSI
telnet
access to logs
dedicated IP (not essential but any host providing will be given preference)
control panel
up to 4 additional virtual domains each with ftp
Price for total package under $10./month, no setup fee
To be available at extra cost if required
mySQL
smtp mail server
asp
additional space, transfer and virtual domains at pro rata cost to original plan
Not a condition but preferred, payment by cashiers cheque quarterly in advance with initial payment for one month to ensure I am satisfied.
This is for basically hobby domains and the bandwidth used is likely to be less than 25% of the 4 gig requested.
I have found and researched two hosts (solid pedigrees with no caution flags when searched) offering the above so please no comments about this will be hard to find etc. etc.
If you know of a host that will provide all of the above, post the name for myself and others, If not please don't offer any recommendations. Hosts feel free to e-mail me if you can provide the above as a minimum quoting your monthly/quarterly fee. If you can improve on it so much the better.
As I am aware many hosts prefer not to allow multiple domains, but on occasion do make exceptions, I will respect any requests to keep this information between myself and the host private.
