View Full Version : 4 Alpha 3000VA Rackmount UPS's - $25 Each!
MadSkilage 08-02-2002, 08:20 PM I am selling 4 used Alpha 3000VA rackmount UPS's - they were purchased by me at a telecom auction earlier this year. I was in negotiations to sell them to an interested party, but that unfortunately did not work out. As I am moving in two weeks, I ABSOLUTELY MUST SELL NOW. Believe me, $25 per unit is well below cost and is an absolute steal for these units.
If you are interested, you must pick them up yourself - I live in Herndon, Virginia. I would prefer to have one buyer pick up all four, but we'll see how things work out. Pictures are available on demand. Email/PM me if interested or for more information.
EDITED - now $10 per unit or best offer including trades! Please help out a fellow WHT member! I must sell by next week.
The Prohacker 08-02-2002, 10:15 PM Should I ask how large??
I need a UPS system for my house, and i'm sure I could convert them over, just dunno if I want to ship one that far :D
allera 08-02-2002, 11:07 PM I think you'll need a forklift to lift one of those up. My puny APC 400s are heavy as they are. I can't imagine 3000 ones, much less four of them.

Alright, thats how big I thought it prolly was, thanks for confirming that :D
MadSkilage 08-02-2002, 11:26 PM Yes, they are extremely heavy. That is why I would prefer not to ship them.
weeps 08-02-2002, 11:29 PM how many outlets do these ones contain?
MadSkilage 08-02-2002, 11:46 PM They have six outlets
Are those Alpha Technologies?
MadSkilage 08-03-2002, 12:03 AM Yes - http://www.alpha.com/
Yeah. The company that makes them, is near where I live.
They make the power protection equipment on the Telephone poles.
MadSkilage 08-03-2002, 12:19 AM Actually, ever since I heard of Alpha, I've noticed that much of the electrical equipment in my area is made by them.
To further clarify, the model is CFR 3000RM

The Prohacker 08-03-2002, 03:32 AM Have you tested and made sure they work?
jayglate 08-03-2002, 04:18 AM If they work i will take them. What type of nema outlets do they have?
BrianF 08-03-2002, 09:24 AM Man this is killing me! I would die to have these, but you won't ship. I'm guessing that if you had AirBorne Express or UPS do a pickup it would be about 80 bucks each to ship.
MadSkilage 08-03-2002, 10:56 AM Many people have asked if I would be interested in shipping. Here are the reasons why I am a little hesitant to ship. First off, these units weigh around 120 lbs each and I nearly killed my back the first time I moved them. Second, shipping and packing costs will range between $60-$100 per unit. Finally, it is going to take me at least a whole day to package these things and drop them off for shipping. That is a big time waster.
If you think that you can sweeten the deal, then I may consider shipping, but otherwise, I am seeking a buyer who can physically pick them up.
SOLD!
I'll pick em up today or tomorrow, you let me know!
Call me 877-905-0168.
Tom
