View Full Version : What livechat software to use?
splatcatballa99 10-31-2007, 09:48 PM So far I can't find any livechat softwares that are cheap enough, or not good enough if free.
Only thing I can come up with for free is Crafty Syntax Live Help, What do you guys think about that?
For paid ones there really over priced if you ask me $15-$30 for a livechat Program? That just seems outrageous.
Cody Salter 10-31-2007, 10:33 PM I use providesupport.com -- Not free, but it serves its purpose quite well.
subzer0 10-31-2007, 11:45 PM One I can recommend is called TrioLive. They offer a free license for single user. It's actually quite good if all you need is 1 user.

Where is this? All I see is the 30 day trial for one user, and it is 9.95 a month per user.
subzer0 11-01-2007, 01:50 AM Hmm.. I am wondering if perhaps there was a free offer when I had signed up. Because I definitely not using a trial version. Maybe you can write their support and ask.
~ServerPoint~ 11-01-2007, 02:21 AM Better to use custom one. But Kayko is one of the most popular and I think that you can have a look on it.
JohnJ 11-01-2007, 06:56 AM I was going to answer this thread until I saw that the OP was my CTO :stickout:. Anyway, I have used Kayako in the past and I feel that it would be very good for us to use, even though it is $29.00/monthly. I find it very useful.
We use Kayako suite, owned. Worth the cost in the long run, to own it and have it integrated with your help desk solution. Saves a lot of effort, I feel.
dvotee 11-01-2007, 07:31 AM I use Provide Support.
$99.00 for 12 months and as I'm in the UK that equated back to £50.00 near enough. It does exactly what I want it to do and so far never had a problem with it.
bluerocket 11-01-2007, 09:09 AM $15 - $30 is by no means outrageous. How long do you figure it would take you to write one (that works on all browsers and whether Javascript is enabled or not?)
Littleoak 11-01-2007, 09:20 AM We use TrioLive. It is nice and easy. There's a free version for 2 operators here (http://www.activecampaign.com/triolive/free.php).
LaneHost 11-01-2007, 02:48 PM We use provide support as well, has most of the features we need and works.
CretaForce 11-02-2007, 03:03 AM We use Crafty Syntax (open source). You can find it here:
www.craftysyntax.com
JohnJ 11-02-2007, 06:23 AM MoltenHost is now using Kayako Live Response. Thanks for your help guys!
CretaForce 11-02-2007, 06:31 AM You are welcome :-)
bb-xs 11-03-2007, 03:22 PM Maybe for others interested, we used whoson in the past. Great product.
Corey Bryant 11-03-2007, 07:29 PM Who's On (http://www.whoson.com/) is another great company with fantastic options.
bb-xs 11-03-2007, 07:33 PM Yes, that's the one.
CloudSolutions 11-04-2007, 05:12 PM I would vote for PHPlive great one.
KASmithy 11-05-2007, 05:10 AM Wow, this is a really helpful thread, as I was wondering the same thing myself. Thanks!
adult100mbps 01-06-2008, 01:41 AM we use Crafty Syntax. works good and its free.
MikeDVB 01-06-2008, 04:29 AM I just installed TrioLive myself and personally I like the desktop application.
