Hello guys,
Let say I have:
1- 80GB of dispace
2- 2000GB of Bandwidth transfer per month,
I have two package:
1- 200Mb space with 5GB of transfer
2- 1Gb space with 15GB of tranfer
So how many packages can i set up with the above specification?
And actually what's the best spec to set up ?
Cheers,

Well just divide the space by the package space, assuming you're not going to oversell.
Ie:
80000 MB /250 MB disk space = 320
2000 GB / 5GB bandwidth = 400
Again, assuming no overselling, that would result in 320 package #1 accounts fitting on the server technically.
HOWEVER:
It entirely depends on the websites being hosted and how much load they're putting on the server etc. The working out above is a simple calculation which by no means should be one to follow in your case! You also have to think about package #2 of course, how many of each package do you expect to sell? How much turnover do you need to make a good profit (if you want to make any?) on the server/equipment you're hosting on? How many accounts would you like to be able to host in order to make the correct return?
The amount of accounts you host on one server depends exactly how you're selling the packages and the exact specs, what your TOS allows etc.
Hope this helps / some food for thought! :)

thank you so much for the input :)
does overselling mean to put more accounts assuming NOT every account owner use the hardisk to the maximum?
does it mean I have to ignore the Bandwidth? If i take BW transfer into account, how can i work it out which dispace should go well with which BW?
Overall, how can one work out the package deal?

Yeah, overselling is where you sell resources that technically are reserved but you assume other clients won't use them - allowing you to offer more space/resources than you could physically offer on your server.
To work out package deals, just think about what you want to offer - what can you afford to offer? It depends what sort of people you're aiming to offer your service to!

thanks once again Mike.
Right now, i'm offering service to just friends and family and from time to time my friend recommend me to his friend etc. So right now, i'm looking to offer the service fullscale and thought of asking about setup the package.
Refer to your reponse: what type of people I aims to offer the service to. Can you elaborate on why is there a different in the type of people am i offering to? I thought they all want web space.?

So, I guess you're not planning on having an OS, control panel or anything else?
You're not going to be able to use 100% of your hard disk for hosting accounts. Things like OS, control panel, logs, etc. are going to use up a good portion of your drive as well. Also, it depends on how you partition your drive, etc..

Sorry, my post was completely out in that respect - I was just sort of trying to explain logically. Tina is very right, your disk space is obviously going to be used for other things assuming you have only one drive. Decide how much space you can have available to hosting accounts first!
For what kind of people you're aiming to offer service to, this can change on a number of factors. Ie, you could be offering to locals, to experienced web masters, high quality premium plans, quick and very affordable plans etc. Who is your target market?
