View Full Version : Interesting...
AussieHosts 08-02-2002, 12:24 PM Without naming any names, this was our interesting (and slightly frantic) phone call for the day.
"Hello, there's a naked picture of me on your servers!"
Hmmm...okay...where to from here I ask myself. The caller (female) couldn't give me a direct URL to the image, but assured me is was not appreciated. She advised of the source of the photo, and that she wanted it taken down.
"Okay...well if you can't give me any specific information could you mildly describe the photo".
She did. We found it. We contacted the client. It's gone. Everyone is happy. I hope.
I'm glad she didn't get the answering machine. How would she have contained herself to explain the situation to a machine! :)
Cheers
Gary
prelude785 08-02-2002, 01:09 PM lol yeah very odd
RRolfe 08-02-2002, 01:11 PM oh wow...
that had to be a ackward phone call.
AussieHosts 08-02-2002, 01:18 PM Initially it was awkward. I guess she must have been told by someone, but she simply couldn't give me any more information on where the darn thing was. I made the mistake of asking for an email to detail the complaint, and she tried to explain that she doesn't have the Internet...just all these printouts. So, after timidly describing the picture, I assured her we'd sort it out and let her get off the phone that was probably melting in her hand.

microsol 08-02-2002, 01:43 PM Odd? That's actually a funny story :D
My goodness.
So, did you all see that ebay tea pot pic?
Apearently some one selling a a very shiny tea pot took a picture of it and put it on ebay. The problem was, the person, rather large, and rather underdressed, took the picture at such an angle to show just what "mirror like quality" the tea pot had.
code_renegade 08-02-2002, 02:15 PM The question is, how did that picture get there in the first place...?
RackNine 08-02-2002, 02:54 PM The question is, how did that picture get there in the first place...?
Was she cute? :)
Innapropriate maybe, but I'm sure if you're a guy "how'd that picture get there" came second.

The person in question is apparently an exhibitionist with the photo being deliberate. Apparently it was posted on SOLD.com.au ("mirror" at http://www.perkigoth.com/home/kermit/stuff/pages/au.page.sold.yahoo.com/au/auction/510054302/)
Quite funny nonetheless.
