Hey guys i would just like to say first off that i had no idea where this topic should go so i hope this is good :)
Ok as a host who is just starting out, I have been studying this forum for tech knowledge and the like and thought, i need to know more about the control panels i will be using to run the show ..cpanel and WHM, i would really appreciate it if some kind users could post kind of 'an accumulative WHm/cpanel refernce guid'. Just the normal stuff, looked upon as common knowledge to the pro's but new information to the noobs :)
e.g
on WHM ---to delete an acount WHM > Account Functions > Terminate an Account
Just a list of these functions would be great, from the easy to complex operations..
Again if this is posted in the wrong section i aplologize :)
Cheers
Best thing for you to do is look at the ample documentation available at the source:

ooo niice thanx to all :)
Hi,
I too am seeking help with whm but, none of the manuals above or any links on the internet seem to have my problem listed.
Sub-Resellers accounts which i have installed work perfect on my PC, but on my laptop(xp professional) file manager opens like this.a12483.
plus "Edit" and "Code Editor" and "html Editor" never complete loading process, therefore cant open.
My server support inform me the fault lies on my side and not theirs.
Has any members come across this problem before? or is there a program missing from my laptop that needs to be installed?
I do hope somebody can help me with this!
Brez.

HI,
First, stretch out the width of your browser window and you will see the rest of the options at the top of File Manager.
To get "html Editor" to work I've only had luck with Internet Explorer. I see you use Firefox and I prefer Opera but like I say I've only been able to get all the cPanel features to work in IE. Too bad cPanel is but yet another company kissing Bill's butt.

It's a problem with cpanel file manager x3, it looks fantasy but does not work very well.
Try the legacy file manager & edit option.
cpanel is not a bug free software.
Thanks for the replies folks,
I have no problem seeing all the menu, that is not the problem.
This only happens on my laptop, not on the PC.
The black lines come ready loaded, not put there by me.
Yet the laptop is running on xp professional only installed 14 days ago.
The online editors are handy for touchups.
Personally i prefer to use wordpad++ for almost all my editing.
