When you sign up with Paypal you have an initial limit. You have to send them a copy of your ID to lift the limit. I did that over 3 years ago. Since then I received over 200.000 Dollars using Paypal.

Recently when Paypal did update their system (on the day when they changed their design) I logged in to my account. I saw that there was now a "ToDo" list. I clicked on that and I realize that I am now having a 3300 Dollar receiving limit. I can lift it by sending a copy of my passport so I tried to do that but it didn't let me upload my passport. Instead it is now saying the upload of my passport has been completed (but it has not...didn't even give me a chance to try to upload it).

Now this looks like a bug to me. Apparently when Paypal changed their design I somehow got this limit eventhough I already sent them my ID and collected over 200.000 Dollars. I did a search on Google and found somebody with a similar problem.

Now I am asking you guys if any of you is having a similar limit in your account. I am pretty concerned because 100% of my monthly income is comming via Paypal and my limit is going to run out in less than 10 days.

Our account was placed "under review" recently due to the same reason but there was no limit imposed. We did not have any problem uploading files to them.

Call them to resolve this issue, it is much faster this way. Don't email them as they might just reply a week later with no real answer.

I was always able to make instant transfer payments from my checking account and I dont know if they are doing away with this option but it will not allow me to do an instant transfer from my checking account the default is credit card and if you try and change it it will say e-check

Not sure if anyone else is having little problems with hte new paypal

Damn I am really afraid. Does anyone know what is going to happen to my subscriptions when I reach the limit ?

Fortunately the limit in my account did just magically disappear... I hope that means that they did fix the bug.

Maybe they just placed limits on peoples accounts while fixing some other bugs and didn't want to recieve a mass amount of money :)

I am not sure, but that limit is monthly limit or account's total limit.

paypal makes me sick at my stomach anymore. I was fixing to fire off a rant but Ill just reply to this one and do it.

We had a customer buy a $1350 service from us for advanced ddos mitigation and the next day paypal places it on hold. Verified account and all. The senders sent no dispute what so ever. And even called them after I told them about their payment being reversed. They called up paypal, paypal said they froze it because it was a suspicious amount. Right after they just sent $500 a few days before.

So the people verified they did in fact send the money, paypal made them fax a copy of the drivers license on the account as well as some other info. After recieving all this info paypal tells them it will be 24 hours before funds are released. And this WAS a verified account they sent this from, also had a backup funding source and eveything.

They must have some real stupid fraud detection system there to fire on legit transactions like that. I just wish there was a more widely accepted payment processor. I am seriosuly thinking of going to egold or ebullion for larger transactions. Paypal is pretty much out of the question now
