We had someone signup with a stolen credit card, and I'm trying to figure out how to report it as stolen.

Normally, we just void or refund the charges and wash our hands of the situation... but in this case I would like to try and actually report the card as stolen to the card owner.

The problem is that I can't find the owner. Obviously, the phone number we have is invalid, etc.. I searched google for the name, but nothing came up.

It's a visa card, so I'm wondering if maybe there is a Visa number merchants can call to report a suspected stolen card, and they can call their customer to report that we reported the card as being used without their permission.

I hope that makes sense.

Does anyone know how a merchant can report a card that was used to try and commit fraud?

Take a look at Visas Merchant page...http://usa.visa.com/merchants/risk_management/card_not_present.html. Although they dont give you contact to Visa, they do tell you what to do in case you suspect something.
