I am not a fan of ether to be honest. Rubal 10-21-2007, 11:05 AM Both Control Panels are good .. directhostinguk 10-21-2007, 04:22 PM I have to say DotNetPanel, it's a new product but it great hpham 10-24-2007, 09:08 AM Helm4 has many bugs. If you visit their bug track, you can see many bugs still available in few months. I would learn about DNP or H-Sphere monaghan 10-24-2007, 09:22 AM I looked at DNP as Helm 4 was taking a long time to appear and I had to change a server at short notice due to the provider going out of business. We're not the heaviest user of DNP, but in my experience, the developers are very keen to please and the forum members are keen to help out. I've not needed much support, but the DNP guys have been very good on the few occasions I've needed it. tweakservers 10-24-2007, 10:38 AM DNP looks to be good and one thing I like is it support Windows 2008 that I am looking for some control panel integration try out. 25GigPak 10-24-2007, 11:06 AM DNP is a great panel, we have been offering it on our dedicated servers and shared hosting accounts and received very positive feedback from our clients. SwitchCentral 10-25-2007, 10:01 PM I would say helm a very good windows based control panel PremiumHost 10-25-2007, 10:29 PM Helm4 has many bugs. If you visit their bug track, you can see many bugs still available in few months. I would learn about DNP or H-Sphere All the core features are working great. The problem witn DNP is that it's new and requires education/training for both host and end users. bmorejon 10-25-2007, 10:36 PM I dont the like Helm 4 Interface, too heavy. hpham 10-25-2007, 10:48 PM All the core features are working great. The problem witn DNP is that it's new and requires education/training for both host and end users. Helm4 is much different than Helm3 too. Since upgrading to Helm4, our support tickets are raised much. Customers confusing, full of bugs, that's why I suggest to learn another better product hayat 10-26-2007, 12:50 AM Helm 4.xx has endless and endless bugs, don't even think about it. Go fo DNP. jt2377 10-26-2007, 01:33 AM All the core features are working great. The problem witn DNP is that it's new and requires education/training for both host and end users. Helm4 is complete different from Helm3. Helm4 also need the same amount of education and training as well. I don't see how that can be a problem. I use Helm since version 3 and I have to hire someone to setup Helm4 for me as it is so different. I'm sure if i invest more time into it i can set it up by myself but my point is both control panel pretty much going to have the same amount of time to learn it. what Helm4 currently lack is there is the name server issue that is pretty much a core feature that still haven't fix and the MS Exchange support is a joke. It is support to resell someone else Exchange service (I wonder if WHA get a cut like their Monster template support in Helm3) not a real support like DNP offer. AvailNetworks 10-26-2007, 10:10 PM we just decided on Dotnetpanel for windows services. I have evaluated plesk, helm, and of course dotnetpanel. What sold me was the simple interface, stability and the accomidation of the staff. The guys there are VERY helpful and really seem to care about their product. I am looking forward to working with the panel on a day to day basis and really digging into it. It would be nice to see the billing module expanded upon since they only support basically authorize.net and same deal with the domain options (enom) we happen to use both so it is not a big deal. you also get a nice starter pack from smartertools.com and it is a very nice compliment to an already great product! 25GigPak 10-28-2007, 12:58 PM It would be nice to see the billing module expanded upon since they only support basically authorize.net and same deal with the domain options (enom) we happen to use both so it is not a big deal. Well I have good news for you, We have been working with WHMCS for the last month or two on integration with DotNetPanel. They should be done with it soon. The built in billing system in DNP is good and works for most of our customers but we decided to pay for integration with WHMCS to allow a 3rd party billing system. We decided to pay for WHMCS integration over modernbill because we have seen nothing but issues with their new version. supportoncall 10-28-2007, 01:31 PM I will suggest you to have HELM 4 , though its interface is quite heavy but we have migrated lots of windows servers from hosting controller to Helm. DNP will be like a new thing to the clients. Regarding the fixes and the issue HELM forum is well built with the fixes and it works great. Qgyen 10-29-2007, 08:36 PM All of my customers like DNP over Helm and were very glad with the change. Helm may feel familiar, but to those truly familiar with Helm, DNP might be a refreshing change. DMEHosting 11-03-2007, 05:43 AM I'm very pleased with DNP over HELM4 as well. Helm4 gave me late nights accompanied with many headaches. networkman 12-09-2007, 01:24 PM did u ever try hosting controller try there online demo.. u might like it or not i tryed helm demo in search for windows panel.didnt like it id would go with donetpanel but no billing system and whmcs doenst support it or clientexec so you would have to find alternative bmorejon 12-09-2007, 03:00 PM I choose DNP Saksher 12-11-2007, 06:22 PM I was with Helm and also played around with DNP. After the release of Helm4, WHA has lost its reputation as a stable windows control panel whereas DNP have some new features to offer. By the way, does anyone have the chance to use Hosting Controller 7. I think its the best windows CP in the market. Your opinion... Blessed. -=BfA=- 12-13-2007, 06:24 PM I've also gone with DNP and it's worked great. Simple interface and does what it needs to do. |
