Do you mean pre-pay for 2-5 years, or one that bills you after you use them for 2-5 years. You will not find the latter offered. That would be stupidity on the host's part

I had a customer abuse me because he said that other hosts allow him to use the service then pay.

Isn't that called a free trial? ;)

Well if you don't pay after 5 years the Trial may be free but you will still have to pay the lawyers and they are certainly NOT free! ;) :D

Some hosts want you to pay once a month, others give you the possibility to pay every six months or once a year. Don't know if anyone takes 5 years in advance, that usually only concern domains. Some offer discounts if you sign up and pay a year at a time.

I cant speak for the industry as a whole but why would you want to pay 4-5 years in advance. I know the hassle that prepaid services cause my business. It is a liability and has to be tracked and accounted for each year. Plus how do you know you will not need different services in a year or two. Just pay for one year and put the rest of the money into a savings account or something.

Hello!! (knock, knock) Anyone home?? lol. Guess not!

The most you can possibly imagine for is a one month free trial, and I think even those are getting rare because its just a hosts way of unintentionally asking "hey, come abuse my server for a month, no charge at all." Hosting is mighty cheap these days my friend, so shell out $15 a month or less and you can get a lot. That's about the cost of a tank of gas. So, ride your bike for a few weeks and you'll be all set.

Free hosting for a year, lol, when angels fly out of my arse.
