Thanks Gem Hexen 07-31-2002, 08:15 PM Do you mean pre-pay for 2-5 years, or one that bills you after you use them for 2-5 years. You will not find the latter offered. That would be stupidity on the host's part NoahH 07-31-2002, 08:22 PM Oooooooooooo! I want to sign up!:stickout iamdave 08-01-2002, 02:19 AM LOL, paying after 5 years... ntwaddel 08-01-2002, 02:35 AM yeah, i want to offer my customers hosting for 5 years with no setup fees, then maybe after 5 years and a few thousand dollars later, i'll see if they want to pay. :D coight 08-01-2002, 02:36 AM I had a customer abuse me because he said that other hosts allow him to use the service then pay. NexDog 08-01-2002, 02:57 AM Isn't that called a free trial? ;) MAX POWER 08-01-2002, 03:29 AM Well if you don't pay after 5 years the Trial may be free but you will still have to pay the lawyers and they are certainly NOT free! ;) :D  MAX POWER :homer: Reptilian Feline 08-01-2002, 03:38 AM Some hosts want you to pay once a month, others give you the possibility to pay every six months or once a year. Don't know if anyone takes 5 years in advance, that usually only concern domains. Some offer discounts if you sign up and pay a year at a time. 1upromo 08-01-2002, 04:04 AM -pay after 2-5 year- This is not real in hosting business Have a nice day :) Synthetic 08-01-2002, 04:14 AM Originally posted by coBra hi i want a good web host that i can pay after 2-5 years. Heh heh... good luck finding one! coight 08-01-2002, 04:57 AM Originally posted by NexDog Isn't that called a free trial? ;) Not when he wanted our $89.95/yr plan NexDog 08-01-2002, 08:40 AM LOL. Hig 08-01-2002, 09:14 AM I cant speak for the industry as a whole but why would you want to pay 4-5 years in advance. I know the hassle that prepaid services cause my business. It is a liability and has to be tracked and accounted for each year. Plus how do you know you will not need different services in a year or two. Just pay for one year and put the rest of the money into a savings account or something. ATST 08-01-2002, 01:09 PM hi i want a good car that i can pay for after 2-5 years. No finance charges. allustrious 08-01-2002, 07:36 PM Pay after 2-5 years??? Where do some of these people come from  Gem Hexen 08-01-2002, 07:42 PM A tar pit? coBra 08-02-2002, 09:56 PM guess this is impossible. Well what about 1 year? Matt2001 08-03-2002, 12:31 AM Hello!! (knock, knock) Anyone home?? lol. Guess not! The most you can possibly imagine for is a one month free trial, and I think even those are getting rare because its just a hosts way of unintentionally asking "hey, come abuse my server for a month, no charge at all." Hosting is mighty cheap these days my friend, so shell out $15 a month or less and you can get a lot. That's about the cost of a tank of gas. So, ride your bike for a few weeks and you'll be all set. Free hosting for a year, lol, when angels fly out of my arse. |
