Over the past few years I have quickly learned that a great remote tech is a wonderful tool to have. Unfortunately finding someone who can deliver day in and day out is another story.
Does anyone have any experience with a dedicated person/company who can manage both Windows and Linux servers and works like a horse?
Sorry if this sounds like a sales thread... I wasn't exactly sure where to put it.

Regardless, I'll definitely contact them and see if this is something that would interest them.

Well, I find PlatinumServerManagement great - generally my raised tickets tend to be very late in the night / early hours of the morning due to the time difference between Europe & the US - and I ALWAYS get the same courteous, pleasant and fast response within about 30 - 45 mins almost all the time.

If I can get someone who is honest and can actually deliver what they promise, my budget could easily reach $2-3000 per month? It's a tough call... we're very good at managing our own servers for reboots, general problems, etc. We just need someone for migrations, new server setups, security upgrades, etc.

What about when they need time off and such? Outsourcing this to a company with an agreement to complete needed tasks will put the liability of having someone available out of their hands.
OP: I would contact TouchSupport - they have Linux and Windows teams on a 24x7 basis. My recommendation would be to start working with a company on a small scale for a few months and see how it goes, if it works well, then talk with them about managing your infrastructure.

If he only requires for migrations, security etc then that wouldn't be such an issue. Don't get me wrong I am all for outsourcing but if you have the budget to get a tech dedicated to you part time then that is ultimately the way to go. That particular tech would know everything and anything about your infastructure.
