Are they real cc merchant or third party merchant?? genaldi 07-31-2002, 11:28 PM They're not a 3rd party merchant, looks like they're just a reseller for Authorize.net or similar. Best of luck, David Asher S 08-01-2002, 01:19 AM They are a reseller of Nova systems (which btw isnt very good) and they deal with various payment gateways. Not a bad solution overall. They don't only use Nova, which is what I would prefer anyway. If you sign up with goe, make sure to tell them to setup recurring billing - some banks that they use do not allow it. They used to resell cybercash, now authorize.net which is more expensive now. Asher S 08-01-2002, 03:33 PM Originally posted by freeva Hey Kyo.. There are variosu people who partner with various MSPs but nova should be avoided due to stringent policies. I am just exploring my options as goemerchant seems to accept international applicant... Asher S 08-01-2002, 03:41 PM Originally posted by freeva No problem.. Unless you want a 12% discount rate (for international) I wouldnt reccomend nova ;) Try planet payment.com rockergrrl 08-02-2002, 03:49 AM I contacted them a while ago -- several months ago, about information about their services.... And I told them one day, when they called, that I found something else instead, they got steamed at me, and told me, "You know, you're wasting our time now..." and the guy hung up on me. And to this day.. they keep on emailing me, and calling me, waiting me to switch to them... bah! Andyc 08-02-2002, 07:17 AM I setup goemerchant for another company. I really felt like they told me some things that weren't exactly true just to get me to sign up. That is why I probably wouldn't use them again. TedS 08-02-2002, 08:11 AM GoEmerchant has some of the beest service & support I've ever seen.... near instant responses to sales questions, a good faq and lots of resources. With that said, they are really a good package for someone who needs a package. If you just need a gateway or merchant provider, they arent what you want. But, with their AMAZING affiliate system they can still be a valuable tool for hosts as they pay well and do a lot of the work for you (i.e. provide a shopping cart). On a final note, goemerchant loves to email and call and email and call anyone who contacts them. They're always friendly and take you off the list if you ask but if you don't you'll know it :) seg fault 08-02-2002, 10:30 AM I wouldn't use authorize.net because of some vulnerabilities with xlogins and carders using them for their little bots. You're merchant account can be closed at any time without warning. MaB 08-21-2002, 10:00 PM We use goemerchant and would recommend them. We use their APi to interface with our CP and billing software - works wonders :) They do tend to call alot :) |
