I'd be willing to bet my Dell is more reliable than almost any mac, and it's on Windows ME. Don't ask me how I did it but that dang thing has 99.8% (According to windows uptime) uptime. It's odd the thing doesn't crash or slow down. And it's not like I don't do anything on it, I multitask all the time, use Apache, mySQL, frontpage (shoot me), Photoshop and play games all the time. I have never had 1 crash since i bought it and don't worry about viruses, the only time i need to reboot is if some dumb installer requires it :) I agree, dell's are good (using one now at work) but they do not have OS X which is the main reason i love my mac.
