i'm currently looking for an easy to setup (administer) and use shopping cart that I will hand off to the client without much fuss. Also, something that integrates well with Dreamweaver 8 or CS3 if possible.

Anyone have experience and recommendations? I don't have experience with PHP/MySQL. I need to set something up soon so please post your advice. I appreciate your help!

youll be hard pressed to find stuff that would integrate with dw.

best of the breed are creloaded (some improved oscommerce) and oscommerce. creloaded has a templating system, but dw wont work on that.

What specific features do you need in the cart system?

I need something that is easy to customize or integrate in a current html page so it needs flexibility in the design part.

I don't want the storefront to dominate or dictate the "look" of the site.

Also, the ability to register users so they can only see the products that pertain to their usertype at registration.

That's my most important stuff I guess, but most of all, something easy to set up for a non PHP/MySQL expert that's more on the Dreamweaver type level.

I was also looking at CRELOADED, but there is X-Cart or Lite Commerce, so I'm confused.

Oh, before I forget, SUPPORT is also on top of the list in case I can't figure something out.

Try Avactis shopping cart (http://www.avactis.com). It's very easy to customize and integrate with the existing design. If you are web developer you can get your first copy free of charge and the others at 50% discount.

As I know for non-programmers Avactis is easy to administer (manage product catalog, shipping/payment options, taxes etc.)

Have you tried looking at WebAssist eCart? It integrates well with DW but it's not inexpensive :-)

OSCommerce with STS contribution allows you to customize the front-end ie display. Else requirements that you have need to be developed from scratch.

My top choice for you would be SunShop. SunShop is very easy to customize and the default design looks great.

You can also look at CS-Cart. CS-Cart has more features than you can imagine.

Both of these shopping carts offer support from the developers and also great support forums.
