Andyc 07-31-2002, 10:32 AM Do a search on these forums and I am sure you will find plenty of opinions about Nocster. I have been with Nocster from day one and am very happy with the service they have provided so far. They have had a couple of network issues in the past few weeks but hopefully that is behind us. Hope this helps, Andrew SoftWareRevue 07-31-2002, 12:28 PM Ditto to what Andy says. But, I have no experience with freeservers.com. You won't go wrong with Nocster though. RH4U 07-31-2002, 12:54 PM I guess with that in mind my next question is this.. .the freeservers processor is faster by about 200mhz, but the nocster servers offer AMD at the same price, between the two processors is there a major difference in performance on servers? The onlly other thing that scares me really is that nocster's upgrade prices ,IP prices, etc are higher than fastservers. Thats why im wondering if maybe there is a catch to fastservers cheap prices or either that nocster is charging too much?? zdwebhosting 07-31-2002, 01:09 PM alot of different places charge different ammounts for ip's and such as that and some give free its up to the company SoftWareRevue 07-31-2002, 01:14 PM I don't see a dedicated server option at www.freeservers.com Are you sure that's the right URL? RH4U 07-31-2002, 01:24 PM ACK! sorry ment fastservers.. sorry been looking at so many sites they running together.. SoftWareRevue 07-31-2002, 04:22 PM Now I think you mean www.fastservers.net. And, what's the pricing differences that concern you? They seem pretty close. And, in fact, when I did numbers Nocster came up less expensive overall. IPs are about $0.25 a month at fastservers and about $0.50 a month at Nocster (if that's all you're looking at, then yes, fastservers is less expensive, for IPs). I think, if you sit down and configure a server and extras that you think you will need from both places, you will find they are similar. And that, actually, Nocster is the less expensive of the two. zdwebhosting 07-31-2002, 04:36 PM I have used neither so I can't give a yes or no on each :) I have heard only great things about fastservers.net though :) howard 07-31-2002, 08:16 PM I am also trying to pick up one from fastservers and Nocster. Nocster has expensive setup fee but cheaper Cpanel license. hope anayone could give more thoughts about both of them zdwebhosting 07-31-2002, 11:01 PM Originally posted by howard I am also trying to pick up one from fastservers and Nocster.
