Does anyone have any recommendations of companies providing submission to SEO friendly web hosting directories?
Does anyone know any such submission service that submits to directories in other languages such as Finnish or Dutch?
Any answers are appreciated :)

A directory that is easily read by search engines. But I wasn't really thinking of directories necessarily. More like web host related websites where it is possible to submit our URLs for free or paid.

Any links from any place like that will be highly discounted and worth almost nothing from an SEO standpoint. Especially in Google.

Why? An example from our country:
http://samlet.info/webhotell/
That is a really horrible website with the worst design you can find. It's practically the only list in Norway (and it has paid links in the top). However it appears 2nd in Google for the keyword 'webhotell' which translated to English is 'web hosting':

It's not that they won't rank, but links leaving most directories, especially free-for-all ones, are highly discounted by search engines. A year ago, it would have been a great idea as they really weren't being discounted. If you have a link building strategy that includes gaining links from many other resources than just directories than can help you a bit, but don't expect much SEO benefit from the majority of directories.

Ok. Thanks for the heads up :agree:
Get a handful of customers to review your services on multiple web hosting review sites. If their comments and ratings are positive, this will work out much better for you than a basic directory listing.
