How many servers share it with you?
What do you do to prevent one user from taking all the bandwith?

This was actually configured by NTT/Verio when we started doing colocations with them. They uses cisco routers to handle this. The router is 18 port and they have two 100 mbit connections going into the router. Each User then gets a little more than 10Mbit to use. I can get you more information but the CCNA people are here only durring the day.

huh? well this confuses me now ...
i understood this is a unmetered 10mbit/s deal.
but now you'r saying i could upgrade to 100mbit/s for $$$, which would include 50gb of transfer !?
maybe i just misunderstood the post or sth.

The 10Mbit connection is a full 10 mbit connection. If you would like the server pluged into a 100Mbit connection. It will cost an atdditional $150 , ie $385 amonth. On the 100 Mbps server also comes with 50 GB of data transfer. Each additional block of 50 GB is $75. With a 100Mbit connection we monitor the bandwidth. But some users need to be able to burst over 10Mbit. SO I am giving this option. Most people I assume will go with the 10Mbit connection. If you have other questions please ask! Thanks!

I had the same misunderstanding. You didn't include any bandwith or bandwith pricing in the original offer, so I thought 10 mbit is the bandwith you get. It is a bit unclear.

Can you give us more information about your bandwith pricing?

I believe the 10mbit offer is unmetered, but the 100mbit is metered in 50gig increments since you are only paying $150 more for 10 times the speed.

the cost of the server is $235 dollars a month with a full 10Mbit connection. This means that you can transfer as much as you want a month but you are limited to bursting 10Mbit out of the connection.

The other option is that same server with a 100Mbit connection. This connection is monitored because it can burst and sustain 100Mbit . This connection makes the server cost $385 dollars a month with 50gigs of transfer. This is a popular choise for popular websites and adult hosts that experience burst loads greater than 10Mbit. Each 50 gig increment is $75. If you use an additional 40 gigs it is a percentage of $75 dollars. Just cross multiply and devide for the cost.
I hope that this helps!

How long have you been in business? Do you have any more of these with the Windows 2000 license on them?
Thanks,
Drew

Is that ram upgrade one time fee or monthly fee??
Also the quote for hdd upgrade looks very confusing.

the ram prices are a monthly charge. The reson for the listing of the 128 was because I was cutting and pasting. The server comes with that amount of Ram.

The server is configured with a 18 gig hard drive. Again I should not have listed it. Hard drive space is a monthly cahrge too.
110gig's is an additional $36 dollars a month
15 gig's is an additional $72 dollars. a month

Is that a typing error or something. Why is 15gig hdd more expensive than the 110gigs?
