Anybody can help me in this regard MACscr 10-07-2007, 03:22 AM I honestly dont think either one exists as far as quality, especially for use in the commercial market where your going to serve clients. You can try VHCHS, but its junk IMHO. phpcoin is a half way decent free billing system, but i wouldnt recommend it. Spend a few bucks a month and get WHMCS. mrzippy 10-07-2007, 03:57 AM I don't know what is your business plan, but I agree with MACscr.. there are no "free" billing systems or control panels that are any good. Most VPS servers should come with a control panel. If yours does not, then you should ask your provider if they can install one. For the billing system, I recommend clientexec.com if you're just starting out. Vinayak_Sharma 10-07-2007, 04:40 AM Here is a list of Free/Paid control panels http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/Hosting_control_panels have a look, for billing PhpCoin & http://www.solid-state.org are the one you can use, but like other says, they are not quality products. If so, you might want to remove all the empty "general" forums -- it doesn't look good to have so many forums with 0 posts. Might be better to just combine them all into one "general" forum instead.... Also, you should post a link to an online demo or screenshots or something to show what the software looks like and what it does. Very few people are going to signup for your forums to download an unknown program from an unknown provider. maduri 10-08-2007, 11:09 PM Thank you for your help siforek 10-09-2007, 03:30 AM I highly suggest going with paid software. Sure you can try the free stuff, but you'll most likely spend far more time/money than you save trying to get them working how you'd like. You'd be surprised with VPS license prices on commercial control panels like cPanel, and a leased license for WHMCS is a killer deal. IMO the best free panel is Webmin/Virtumin, but they're not so user friendly without some template work. If you end up going that route I developed a billing/support module for Webmin I could share. PM me if you'd like a demo. Good luck! Nessy 10-09-2007, 04:20 AM Paid billing software IMO is always a must, even if you have to pay for it out of your own pocket. CarlosMtnez 10-10-2007, 06:41 PM I used Webmin in a VPS some time ago to simplify the server administration and is a good panel but I prefer the command line. |
