Let's say I want to put advertisment on my site, what is the adverage I should charge?

Whatever you can get from your target group. Advertising is in the slumps giving publishers a hard time to make a buck. If you have huge levels of good markettable traffic I'd imagine $1-$3 CPM or a click-thru rate of $0.25.

wow that sucks, I know that there is companies who still make money of advertisment. If I'm not wrong webhostingtalk.com is one of them. How is it possible that it is that low?

Now a days most webmasters would "die" for $1-2CPM. The only ones making some money are the huge sites and the medium ones that are highly targeted and can find their own advertisers, which can be hard.

My sentiments exactly.

Sharkman if you think that rate is bad. Please by all means go to Burstmedia.com (http://www.burstmedia.com)
or any other CPM network and serve their ad solutions for the month.
You will notice the average range is between $.15 - $.40 CPM. And inventory is never completely sold-out.
