View Full Version : AllReseller cancellation

As I told them I would, I am posting about my cancellation experience with AllReseller. I originally found them here on WHT and since I didn't have high requirements or a ton of data to move to them, I didn't think much of giving them a try. It turns out I gave them more than just a small try, I gave them about a year and a half. During that time, the server was almost always sluggish and/or unresponsive. I was quite busy with life in the past year, so I never really had a chance to sit down and look for a new host, so I just endured it. After all, I can say that their customer service is excellent. Fast response times, quick resolution of problems. That just wasn't enough. The server was obviously overloaded and nothing was being done to alleviate it. So the other day, I realized that I would be billed again by AllReseller on the 6th, and decided it would be a good time to switch hosts. I came to WHT again, found a new host to try out and signed up for them. I switched my domains over and it was done. I submitted a ticket to AllReseller sales asking about cancellation, and the only reply I got back was "why do you want to leave us?". I replied with the truth. Then today, I went to check the ticket to see if I had gotten a reply and found that it had disappeared. Deleted I assume. I submitted a new ticket telling them to cancel the account. Normally I receive responses from them within an hour or two, this time I have heard nothing for many hours. So I decided to take care of it myself and called 2Checkout and had the recurring sale cancelled. I get the feeling that AllReseller was either trying to stop me from cancelling altogether, or to delay until tomorrow when I would be automatically billed again. All over $8.

So anyway, there it is. If you are a customer of them or considering using them, all I can suggest is caution. This trickery about cancellations is becoming all too common in the hosting world. I guess 1and1 gives people something to look up to.

Good in depth review and hopefully this will help keep people from getting cheated!
