This is the message:

Hi there

We have rackspace in Fremont connected to multiple quality bandwidth providers via BGP4 and I was wondering whether you would be interested in a partnership to resell our dedicated/colocation services?

I am very interested to work with you on this.

Thanks and regards

 Everything is considered spam these days...

edit - Also instead of posting this and wasting our time, you could have been kind and simply sent a reply to Caleb saying you're not interested.

But of course you have to wave it in front everyone's eyes and give ONEfusion an even worse reputation when really they were just interested in forming a partnership...

What a waste...

That doesn't seem like unsolicited mail, more like a direct business proposal to your company.

I sure hope there is a big difference between a partnership proposal and spam. Business is business and spam is spam.
Seems like folk around these parts have a hard time distinquishing between the two.

If the aforementioned is considerred spam, then I must confess; I am a spammer too.

:bawling: I have spammed. And I'm so ashamed. :bawling:

Spam for me is sending URL to visit the site or promoting a product thru email without my consent.

Sending a partnership proposal for me is not a spam, thats why we have email or even partnership page in our webpage.

Just my 000.1 cents

Clam down for a minute, stop biting like hungry pharanas, firstly, only a blind person would email me about reselling servers because I myself provide servers LOL! And I bet more people than me have received the same 'business proposal'. I am just sick and tired of getting 'business propsals' in email and this is not the first time I am getting something like this, no its like the 30th time. :puke: Spam

Then how would you suggest one approach you with a business proposal, without you considering it to be spam?

If its a waste of time why bother reading it ? LOL. Settle your attitude problem you have a big one.

This is how a business proposal goes:

Hi [what ever your name is],

I have seen you on WHT, and see that you offer [such and such services]. I am interested in forming a partnership with you to provide [such and such services].

Then the proposer would go on to explain why he wants to form a partnership with me.

To me that email sounded like spam, I get enough spam these days.

Sorry but you don't even know me enough to even suggest that I have an attitude problem.

I'm not going to bother getting into flame wars...

have a nice day...

Well, if you formed a partnership with onefusion, wouldn't that give you more servers to sell? Isn't surplus good?

I'd rather deal within my company and partners.

Kyo does not ask for that "proposal".

OneFusion sent it to him blindly. So, I will call it spamming.

Business Proposal? Like that? LOL.

That is spamming. Hey, Kyo..just tell them to **** off.

Well then you must consider:

"HostCharge.com, accept 15 credit cards on your website without a merchant account! Great rates!
Toll free direct line: 1-866-208-7132"

SPAM as well Kyo?

Are you not looking to develop "business relationships" here as well?

Asher S

Not spam at all, I am not forcing you to read that, its a signature like the 10000 other people here.

Its also not intrusive of your own personal rights (like email). So you are very wrong.

DanielP

Um dude, well if email is an intrusion of your rights then you need to walk around every where you go with a sign that says "don't talk to me unless I talk to you", also might want to unplug your phone as well.

LOL, that was not a business proposal is my point. Thats not how a formal business proposal goes. You dont click the email button on WHT and send a 5 line crap email. It should be formally written, I consider that spam along with the 10000 other emails I get who ask me if I need hosting.

- Asher.

Asher S

Also if it was professionally written I would have replied nicely refusing the offer. That in plain words is spam. Mark my words, if anyone else would have received the same email they would be complaining that I've been spammed.

Can't you block users in PM?

Obviuosly you do not remember the days of the telephone.
If you had a fairly large business you would get about 5 salesmen a day calling you selling you everything from courses, bandwidth, cleaning services, long distance deals, etc... Why is e-mail any different? Do you tell a telephone salesman to "Stop spamming me!" no, you say "no, thanks" and hang-up. E-mail is even easier, you just delete and put the address in your Spam filter.

I actually think you do a better job of spamming than One Fusion does. You have posted: "HostCharge.com, accept 15 credit cards on your website without a merchant account! Great rates!
Toll free direct line: 1-866-208-7132" at least 1,138 times (plus the two I gave you). And I do consider it Spam, since you are relentlessly telling everyone about HostCharge, and maybe your only reason for responding and creating mindless content on WHT is your own marketing program.

please note - I do not host with One Fusion, own shares, or do any business with them.

Asher S

Wrong, hostcharge is a new venture and has been mentioned in only around 300 posts lol. I've been a WHT memeber since last year and at that time there was nothing in my signature.

So top making a beeline for me and find something useful to do. There are 10000 other people here who have similar signatures. Maybe you should try posting useless nonesense about them.

You obviously dont know the meaning of spam. My signature is not being imposed or forced upon you, read it if you like or dont. Its your choice, its not being sent to your mailbox. Get your mind straight, that is not spam -- period.
