View Full Version : Exchange Hosting?
regmac01 09-29-2007, 12:58 PM | I need a good solid provider for dedicated exchange hosting, feedback? I know there are several mentions but the market changes so fast. |
nitrohosting 09-29-2007, 01:26 PM I know Sam Cogan (WindowsServ) on this forum offers managed dedicated Exchange servers. There are also plenty of the big'uns like Intermedia which offer dedicated solutions from $1200-ish per month.

cartika-andrew 10-01-2007, 04:38 AM what sort of exchange solution are you looking for?
exchange can be launched on 1 server or on 20 servers (depends on what you are looking for)....
Not many providers out there that can provide you a fully redundant exchange solution - I imagine alot more exist which can put a server up with exchange installed - again, really depends on what you are after.... |
WWWFinance 10-01-2007, 11:27 PM This is something we're looking into as well...Thanks for the info. |
Ryan F 10-01-2007, 11:47 PM Mail2Web has an exchange service which works quite well. Be sure they offer exchange 2007 as a lot of hosts are still only offering 2K3. |
sam_cogan 10-03-2007, 05:21 PM As the previous posters have said, it really depends what you need.
You could go with one of the many Hosted Exchange providers out there who will rent you mailboxes on their exchange setups, which are often fully redundant and will provide excellent value.
That said, if you want full control over your Exchange setup, then you need your own server or set of servers, and that again depends on how far you want to go. You could just rent a decent Windows server and hire an exchange admin to set it up and manage it, or you could get your servers from a host that specializes with Exchange.
If you just want a single server exchange setup, there are plenty of options, if you need something with redundancy, load balancing etc then you’re going to need to look further.
Whilst Exchange is quite easy to grasp the basics of, getting to know the advanced workings of it can be a challenge. |
