What we need now is a way to retrieve the version info from the differant packages installed. Example: perl -e 'print $]' would get us the current version of perl without all the text crap we don't need. However, we would need to get the version info from sendmail, apache (easy), bind, mail, qpopper, etc...
This is just about the only thing that we are missing on the install script. Already have someone contacting all the differant Linux Distro. Companies to get a list of all the default programs and versions for each release.
If you want you can work on the version retrieval portion or we can figure something else out.

I like the web interface do you have a mailing list or something that I might be able to get in on. I am a beginner when it comes to php and mysql programming but I am trying to learn more. I would love to give my input and what ever support I can.

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you all.
Here is the Source Forge address of the project.

As soon as people start joining the team we will start assigning tasks.

For those of you interested there is an Open Source Control Panel in Development. It will be Linux/NT compatible and able to install onto existing servers. We have started a new Source Forge site to assist in coordinating the project. If interested check it out here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ngcpanel/
We are still looking for people to help on the project as well.
