Looking for a free host based in Australia if possible. Any suggestions?

There used to be a site called 'Emu Dreams' that offered 30megs free web space, but I don't think it exists any more.

Free web space simply isn't viable in Australia.

Why do you want Australia-based??? I don't think that Australia free host are more reliable, stable etc... Try to give some chances to other countries, you can find a lot out there.

And also, check out http://www.freewebspace.net , they have a huge directory of free web host.

I'd say it's a geographic thing Donovan, especially if he has mainly Australian customers. But other than that, FTPing to a US server from Australia is like watching paint dry on growing grass. That's the main reason why I like using Australian servers!

It seems like FTP suffers much more than HTTP the further you get from a server.

I see... Never live in Aus, and know nothing about that pain :p
