does anyone know of a good shopping cart system. I would like it to be powered with php and mysql?

The problem I had with x-cart.com which was mentioned above, was that their support became non-existent after a few pre-sale questions back and forth, so I gave up on them and went with merchantorderform.com which was super cheap and had everything I needed, but their support after buying actually turned out to be worse than x-cart was, haha. The guy who wrote the cart program hasn't emailed anyone back that I know for over two months :(, so I'm not sure if he just gave up or what. He was actually working on an update from the last post on his website.

It's not too complicated of a program so my web designer and I were able to figure out everything without needing any support from them anyway, so I'm I'm glad I bought that one at a fraction of the price x-cart would of cost me....

You could always build one if you have the time and energy ;) But I suggest you checkout 'the exchange project', I dont remember its URL but I've seen it in action, its a very good cart.

I am currently using x-cart for my website www.dsmtrend.com. You are right though. WHen I first got the cart, they replied to me daily, but after a week or so, it took them about 3-4 days to reply. I still like their shopping cart though. I also installed oscommerce, that script is very nice as well, but i prefer x-cart.
