View Full Version : New Posts/Active threads [merged]
Host3000 09-24-2007, 02:59 PM When I search for:
New Posts
or
View Today's Active Threads
I get 'There are no unread threads' for the last few days. Logging out and closing browser window doesn't help.
Anybody else?
(FF 2.0.0.7)
SoftWareRevue 09-24-2007, 03:39 PM This is a known issue that should be sorted some time today.
Host3000 09-24-2007, 04:01 PM Thanks. (and the rest to get to 10 char.)
subzer0 09-24-2007, 04:02 PM It's not showing any new posts! Is something broken on WHT?
Dave - Just199 09-24-2007, 04:07 PM yes something is broken...
From my profile, when I select "Find all posts by mtgm", it previously showed me the posts that I made on today's date, listed first. I can no longer view the posts that I made today.

Any closer to a fix?
SoftWareRevue 09-24-2007, 09:24 PM Mat has to shut down the site for around an hour. I think he likes to do that around midnight - 2am EST.

zacharooni 09-25-2007, 11:40 AM The beautiful SHINY button, can he resist the diabolical urge to push the button that may erase his very existence. Will he hold out folks, CAN he hold out?
NO I CANT!!! [taps]
Are searches also delayed? Meaning a user I know posted a thread a few hours ago and I can find the thread by searching for its title but if i try to "view all threads created by user" it does not show up there.
subzer0 09-25-2007, 11:33 PM New posts function still not working.
Admins -- any chance you can give us an update? Why is it taking so long to fix this.
Thanks.

Thanks.The update is . . . I don't have a clue.
Mat said he'd take the site down for about an hour on Monday. Obviously, that didn't happen.
I haven't been able to catch up with him since.
The good news is, he should be back from "vacation" today.

SoftWareRevue 09-27-2007, 07:53 PM Any updates?None that I will commit myself to share.
We've been told it would be fixed before. I've been told it will be fixed again. I suppose it will be fixed when it's fixed.
SoftWareRevue 09-27-2007, 07:54 PM have the page-view numbers dropped during this "issue" ?I'm not sure that's one of the things that's still broke. But we'll see what gets fixed when something get fixed.

Mr. Obvious 10-06-2007, 01:27 AM bear did you fall asleep and start drooling on the server again? You know, sparks are NOT a good thing :)
The error pertaining to viewing New Posts is back again. It was working fine a few days ago.
Dave - Just199 10-07-2007, 12:15 AM not even the daily function is working.
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?do=getdaily
This has to be hitting the bottom line
for the last couple days - the news posts link at the top returns no unread posts ... has the function been stopped?
subzer0 10-07-2007, 11:38 AM I hope WHT has a support ticket open with vbulletin on this. It's a little sad to have this problem happening for such long durations.
It's not related to VB, but to our own setup here. DB replication, that sort of thing. Being looked at, I hear.
Scott.Mc 10-07-2007, 12:41 PM This (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=637437) thread is likely what you want to be reading.
writespeak 10-07-2007, 06:51 PM Threads merged again. And the problem is fixed. :)
