Hello,

My Name is Dave Smith, im 14 years old (15 by the end of this year) and am in year 10 at school.
I am seriously into the internet, marketing and computers and would love some sort of work that I could do with a company.

I feel I am hard working and am always enthusiastic about the internet. I could put up to 2-3 hours a week day and maybe 5-6 on a weekend day into what ever work I am offered.

I have experience with advanced HTML, asp and software creation. I understand servers, control panels and am a natural sales person. I can clearly explain problems to people, and I am always putting 100% into everything computer based :) I Can also create windows based programs, games, presentations and screensavers aswell as sound and music.

If anyone has any offers for me at all, wether its helping with customer support or maybe something different please get in touch. Its not the just for the money - I need something to keep me occupied and practice my I.T skills with.

I am based in the U.K but have no preference to international sites.

Thankyou for reading everyone,
Dave Smith :stickout

what is the 3or4.com going to be?? I see this being a conflict if you were going to work for another host and you are going to have a hosting site yourself ?

It is also recommended that you post an online portfolio of some sort. :)

In some countries it is forbidden to hire somebody your age without permission from your parents.

Anyway it is something that hirer should think of.

This is how the internet is being built. Have you ever found out the real age of some of these programmers? They are just children! I wish I knew all of this stuff when I was their age :(

Yeh that'll be why then :D

Groundup, that is proberbly because the Internet is a more widely used and common sight these days. More homes have it and more children have access to it. Well.. it could be.

:) Young and proud :)

Dave,

I don't know if there are any laws, as you are over the age of 13.

But, as a parent who has taught her kiddos all about HTML and graphics, I really think that your parents need to be informed that you are job searching. Do they know this?

I would think that prospective clients would want someone over the age of majority, which is 18 in most countries to work for them. I know that as a business owner I would want to hire someone at least 18, if they aren't planning on going to college.

It sounds like you have a ton of knowledge under your belt already. Are you aiming to go to college? My oldest is a senior, 12th grade, this year and we finally found a college to suit her art desires. Go and talk to your guidance counselor and tell them that you are interested in going into the computer field. There are tons of legit sites out there for the schools you will need to go to and they can give you that information.
