My site is down. And of course, I can never get through to tech support.

How about into a jet engine? :)

That would work.

*picks up server with big huge muscles and heaves it into jet engine*

There. Still works as well as it did before.

lol... :emlaugh:

Well, I'm sorry that this has happened to you. Is this the first time your site has been down?

Wish I could get through to IPowerWeb by phone. I'd tell them that while I'm on hold waiting to talk to them, I'm researching other hosts to switch to.

Nope, this isn't the first time. I've had it happen about four times in the past 7 months or so. Each time, by the time I get through to tech support, the problem is magically fixed. I think they just don't answer the phone when they know they're screwed up.

Oh, that's just terrible... What's keeping you from moving?

NSyncVillage

The fact that I payed for a year.

I'd pay by the month, but I've found that those plans are usually more expensive.

Do they have an uptime guarantee (i.e. 99.5%)? If they do, you might be able to request some sort of refund.

"We guarantee 99.9% server uptime. "

How long would it have to be down, with 99.9%?

Dear god, it's opening! Well, actually, I got the title to come up in the title bar... so apparently it's alive but veeeeeeeeerrrry slow. Nothing on the page yet.

It will depend on the company, but yes, you do deserve a refund I'd say..

Well gee whiz. It works! After I spent half an hour on hold (not an 1-800 number mind you), it hangs up on me, and I go type in my site's address, and suddenly, it works! This has happened twice, where it hangs up on me and then it works. Perhaps they just don't fix anything unless you call, and then they won't even talk to you. Anyway, it's working now...maybe I can get through until October. What a joke. It'll happen next month too.
