View Full Version : **** Don't go with 2checkout *****
HostDime 07-29-2002, 03:55 PM Hello,

HostDime 07-29-2002, 03:56 PM It has been 13 days since they where released july 16th and still no money, and I am not the only one here is some proof

http://support.2checkout.com/forums/thread.php?threadid=431&boardid=10&sid=c27cca17cc040e59b5502c766b1a4253
Chris, I done all that, they answer my emails maybe one a week with one word answers, you would think that at 5.5% and .45 they have better support
Samuel 07-29-2002, 04:12 PM No, unless that is what you are willing to do.
I went to that thread, and it just looked like a lot of people mentioning they couldn't get support.
You mentioned you had proof that they wouldn't release your money, and at the thread there would be more information substantiating this.
Just a misunderstanding and I know how frustrating it can be to get support from 2checkout, I actually believe you,. just wanted more information.
TomD I believe is a user here on WHT and I am sure he would be willing to correct this and inform you of the situation.
If i remember correctly the support forums at 2checkout arent meant to be support in the sense that it WILL be resolved, so a bunch of people complaining on their forum is just that, but I understand your frustration
RackNine 07-29-2002, 04:15 PM ********,
I've had a couple late incidents too. We're paid on a different schedule than most 2Checkout members and on two occasions have waited over 21 days for a late cheque. It's simply growing pains as they expand software to better accomodate everyone, adding functionality that even you'll use soon. If you're really that tight on funds you may want to consider adjusting your business plan to allow for more breathing room in between cheques.
The service is still spectacular and has no existing rival. Kristin@2CO and other staff have gone out of their way to ensure any late or missing payment is looked into and handled ASAP. 2CO's core billing system hasn't gone offline in months and provided us with an excellent means to grow and enhance our services in consumer-level web hosting. If you think you can find better I'd love to hear about it, for now I'm much happier to wait on a cheque or wire so 2CO can investigate the problem rather than see their system die under it's own bulk.
As for the post you'd provided as proof, you might want to read to the bottom, seems as though everybody's happy again :)
Sincerely,
-Matt
Samuel 07-29-2002, 04:15 PM Ahh I see it there are 3 or 4 other people saying slightly the same thing, "Where's my money"
One of them posted that they received a reply and perhaps this was a billing mistake, the lack of response is so frustrating and is so prevelant to internet business, makes me want to cringe.
Try PM'ing TomD
Gem Hexen 07-29-2002, 08:06 PM Congrats ********, you have been banned after only 8 posts :D
Samuel 07-29-2002, 08:14 PM Dang, missed it lol
Perfecthost 07-29-2002, 08:56 PM Just curious. Is there a reason you have them cut a check instead of transfer the funds to your bank account electronically? We do this and it works fine. Maybe I'm missing something.

Aussie Bob 07-29-2002, 09:15 PM Hmmm, Paysystems.com wire me the $$$$ that were in the account on the Sunday, on the Thursday. Aussie Bob's wife then takes what I don't need to buy frivilous items like food.
HostDime 07-29-2002, 09:36 PM IT hosting don't you have better things to do then make little lame comments on people? seems like thats all you do on here, just like 50% of the people on here, I mean why must people blab about sutff that is not related,
Samuel 07-29-2002, 09:52 PM Right.. did you contact Tom?
BuffaloWeb 07-29-2002, 10:18 PM Wow, this is all surprising... I have been with them 6 months and never a late transfer...
Samuel 07-29-2002, 10:21 PM Ive been with them almost a year and there was only one hiccup, not sure what the problem is as ******** seems to just want to complain  not actually resolve it.
Ok....... if not, then did you contact TomD ?
vSector 07-29-2002, 10:39 PM Hello Everyone,
I am also still waiting for my 1 July Payment. I usally get payment wire transfered into my bank account. This payment should have cleared on the 4-5 July.
It is now 29th and still no money. I have emailed support numerous times and have had replies back but with no luck in solving my issue.
They assure me that I have been paid but my bank statements do not show the payment.
I also posted about my problem:
http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60860
It shows with this post that something may have gone wrong with system as Dixiesys got two payments instead of one.

Perfecthost 07-30-2002, 03:00 AM I see that some were having direct transfers. Okay, you guys have gotten me worried. I'm off to check the bank account online...

Normally I won't discuss specifics.
However, since you brought this to the forum I assume you want to publically discuss this situation.
1. You had 1 "true" late payment. It was the 1st payment on the account which is subject to verifications as I have discussed here on a number of ocassions. You were made aware of this.
2. the other "late payments" are because you expect the money to show in your bank account on the 1st or the 16th of the month. You refuse to accept the explanation that the pay period ends on those days, and payments are processed the next "BUSINESS" day (banks don't transfer funds on weekends or holidays).
Sam has gone over this with you. Se even went so far as to mark your new account as "clean", so you wouldn't have a further verifications delay.
Perfecthost 07-31-2002, 03:36 AM I checked my account and everything was fine...and has been fine for months.
Tux-e-do 08-01-2002, 07:29 AM 2checkout are great with their payments IMO
Never had any delays in payments via cheque when I first joined, and now via electronic transfer.
megagente 08-01-2002, 03:12 PM Let me explain why some people use checks with 2checkout.
They donīt live in the USA.
Wire transfer rates with 2checkout are too expensive for some with non US bank accounts.
Clear!

Clients without a US Bank account can have their payments air mailed at no charge or have the option of an international wire payment. Fees for an international wire start at $36 and go down $3 for every hundred dollars in gross sales.
You can set a "Release Level" on your account and we will not send you payment until your account reaches this minimum level.
for example:
a $500.00 wire would cost:
$36.00 - (5 x $3.00) = $21.00
a $1,000.00 wire would cost:
$36.00 - (10 x $3.00) = $6.00
That's too expensive?
megagente 08-02-2002, 12:01 AM For beginners and receiving the payment every 15 days, is too much. :( .Better to use checks.
AcuNett 08-02-2002, 12:20 AM We've never missed a payment, although there was a delay in one. And as TomD explained it, it was because of verifications (as we had just acquired an account). I don't consider that a late payment.
NodeHost 08-02-2002, 03:22 AM Heck, even our first payment was on time....
I like 'em. Sometimes they forget to email that they stopped a billing or something, but that is why you keep up with your books and do audits :)
All in all, :agree: :agree: :agree: for 2checkout.
megagente 08-02-2002, 11:23 AM Better be. I have to sign with them.
