I have had a paypal account for years that I use to sell stuff on ebay and such that my SSN is attached to. I tried to sign up for a business account for my business, but it won't let me because I already have my SSN tied to an account.

Now it will let me upgrade my account, and upgrade it to use the paypal pro, but is this something I don't want to mix up? Should I removed my SSN from my personal account and add it to my business account, or just use my personal for both?

If you run a business why not get an EIN, thus eliminating the problem of the SSN conflict?

I dont see why not. It would be odd if they only accept SSN for business account.

It specifically asks for a SSN. It doesn't give you the option of putting in your EIN. I have an LLC, so if there was an option I would have used it.
