In clientexec there is a thing called Package types. You can create different packages within those package types.
Now, do you want to match up the clientexec packages types with the whm packages or do you want to match up the clientexec packages with the whm packages?

Neither, the name of the package in WHM is matched to the server variables section (server type specific).

Are you positive?
According to the reply I got in this post for a slightly different question, you have to match the package names.

Yessir :)
Your package types are the groups which you require (e.g. shared, reseller etc), package names are what you want to call them (friendly name).
When you've setup the pricing, description and welcome email, there is the server specific variable THAT is where your plans need to match up with the ones you created in WHM (as suggested usernam_package).
Hope that helps :)

alright. that is definitely a different route than what i was told but obviously what i was told hasn't worked so i'll try what you're saying.
i have a couple of questions then.
so here's my situation. i have 9 plans. Budget 1, Budget 2, Budget 3, Advanced 1, etc.
should i create 9 servers(one for each package)?
also, my domain is midpulse.com. for my hostname when i create a server..should i put server1.midpulse.com. when i do that does it automatically create the subdomain? i'm a little confused on what to put for the hostname as well and what it's even for.
if you could reply to this one more time, id be really grateful :P

All of the plans can be on one server. :) You only need to set-up a server in ClientExec when you have a new physical server. The hostname is the name the server is identified by. This was set-up when the server was in the beginning.

You only are going to need one server set up just make sure you have set up the cpanel plugin. There are some tutorials on clientexecs forums that show you exactly how to do this. When you create each of your different plans only the server variable for cpanel needs to match exactly the name of the plan as shown in whm.
