I have just purchased few nice .fm domains. This purchase started around 2 months ago and still not finished because of the countless problems with .fm purchase.

Most problems finally finished, but there are a very strange problem left.

According to the dot.fm policy (http://dot.fm/policy.html):
5. No Guarantee of Registration, Transfer or Renewal. .... blablabla..... You further acknowledge and agree that dotFM may elect to accept or reject your application for registration, transfer or renewal for any reason at its sole discretion.

They must be crazy.
Basically it means, that they may simply reject me in renewal for no reasons. (for example for posting this thread).

I have already purchased a couple of the .fm domains

So I am just wonder what I can do with it.
As I understand, dot.fm hold licence from ICann for the .fm registry administration. Maybe I should try to contact ICann according this issue.

Now I feel myself completely ripped of :(

.fm is a country code domain (ccTLD).

There is a fundamental difference between ccTLDs and GTLDs.

GTLDs are run under rules set by ICANN.

ccTLDs are run under rules set by the country to which the domain belongs. The only thing ICANN does is decide who gets to run the ccTLD, it has no influence in the actual running.

It is up to French Micronesia to decide how it wants to run its country code. If you choose to register a domain in their country then you have to play by their rules.
