As I'm new to the world of online CC processing, I have a question: How long does it take for funds to arrive in your bank account after the customer has paid?

My first transaction on my new quantumgateway account was last night, and the batch was run at 11 PM. How long will it be now before those funds show up in my account?

It depends on your bank. Usually it takes 5 days or about 1 week. I have BAMerchant account and a checking account in BOA. My account is funded after 2 days when batch is submitted.

It depends in part on your merchant processor and what funding timetable is setup on that side. Another factor is when the batch is settled and if the batch settlement time is past the cut-off time for the settlement network.

But in general - you are looking at roughly a 2-day period or so in most cases. So if your batch settled last night, I would look tomorrow or the next day for your funds.

If your merchant processor has an online journal reporting system you will be able to look for an ACH Deposit line item sometimes that will tell you exactly what date and amount to expect for your deposit as well.

2 days for Amex and 1 week for all the others.

I've got all this data from different sources, most of which is conflicting with everything else...

Quantum Gateway (the processor) says that the funds were batched out on the 18th, at 11PM.

CDGcommerce, though, isn't showing ANYTHING in the journal. No payments received, no nothing..

On my online banking, I see the following two entries:

09/21/2007 Pending Credit BANKCD SETTLEMEN POS SETL
Pending $.00
09/21/2007 Pending Debit BANKCD SETTLEMEN POS SETL
Pending $.00

So I really just don't know what's going on here...

I use CDGCommerce/QuantumGateway.

For me, Visa/Mastercard are pushed through 4 days after the date. So if the batch goes out Monday, I get the funds Friday.

AMEX batches every 2 days. so Monday's batch goes out to me Wednesday

Discover batches every 3 days. So Monday's batch goes out to me Thursday.

This is most likely different for you.

You can call CDGCommerce to find out your exact funding schedule for Visa/Mastercard. When you signed up for Discover/AMEX, you should have received a packet from each one in the mail. This packet details the funding schedule they have placed on you.

Do your online real-time journal reports show the deposit entry now? Our system updates ACH deposit and withdrawal info twice per day so sometimes if you look early in the morning that info will not always be the most up to date.
