I'm trying to decide between 2 billing systems, but I'm having trouble finding pros and cons for each.

WHM Autopilot or ClientExec

i am using clientexec. Its very easy to use and learn it, newedge offers great support and also its billing+support system. Especially for billing it has many options like promo codes etc. Give it a try..

I'm using ClientExec right now and I am pretty happy with it, it's simple yet effective and flexiable to my business.

I think CE is the better of the two, but to be honest, i would recommend either of them.

Both are very great softwares but they have different uses.

If you need to run a "multistore" then WHMAP will be the best. For a only one customer side, CE it's by far the best.

Give WHMCS a look. Great script.

I'm only sticking with the 2 choices I listed above because those are the 2 billing systems I get for free with my host. I think I'm going to go with clientexec.

I've been using ClientExec and though I've experienced a couple of problems it isn't bad. Just don't ever 100% depend on any billing system because there's always some sort of problem coming. Good luck!

We've been using CE for a couple years now and highly recommend it. The new Version 3.x is greatly improved; Actually rewritten by NEWEDGE... I'd give CE a shot..

I use WHM, it's easy to use but the only thing is the product configuration.

I was a MB user for a couple years, 4 wasnt bad, but full of bugs and was missing a few key features for us. MB5 is horrible in my opinion. Has some great ideas/concepts, but its UI is quite poor and its very slow. We moved to WHMCS and love it. Its not perfect, but its definitely the best option on the market right now IMHO.

Pay the $15 per month, and get WHMCS it is hands down the best billing system on the market.

Dont give him false expectations about support. There is no 30 minute guarantee or anything like that. Matt is pretty fast about support, but times definitely vary.

I have used WHMCS, and liked it a lot. As for 30 min support response I agree with MACscr, Matt is amazing at fixing the problem but it takes him a while to get too it.

I've been using ClientExec for several months now and am overall very happy with it.

My only concern is that their development release cycle seems a little slow. I've submitted 6 bugs/feature requests and had one fixed in an update (which I figured out how to fix myself beforehand). The others have no consideration yet for a target milestone. :(

I have clientexec set up currently although I did look some at WHMautopilot. I had noticed more negative reviews about WHM than I did client so I ended up going with clientexec. They have two different packages depending on the way that their files are encoded. I tried the ion first and had nothing but problems with it being slow and unresponsive. When I switched to the other encoding scheme it has worked beautifully since.

Never made any guarantees, just said that he answered my question in under 30 minutes on average. Maybe I just had easy and stupid questions ;)

I have been using WHMCS for a couple months now. I really like how easy it is to get everything set-up. WHMCS have everything integrated, support, knowledgebase, billing, product/services. I highly recommend WHMCS

ClientExec is definately the #1 billing and support system in my eyes. Very proffesional looking, ability to add staff, packages, coupons, servers, domain registrars the whole lot.

I use WHMCS and it works very well for me including support for many web hosting control panels, Easy to set up plans, Easy to use interface, and built in advanced ticket support, It also has easy to edit html pages.

I've looked around at both of these quickly, both seem impressive... do either one have a time-tracking module or something for billing design, programming and admin work done on an hourly basis?

I Agree. It allowes for multiple servers, it connects to domain resellers and even lets you create your own custom products!

I would like to see one of these billing scripts with a properly written manual, which goes into detail and includes screen shots. Whenever I have referenced the manual for WHMCS, Client Exec or AWBS, the content is usually hollow and seems hastily written.

I have used them both is the past. I am a ubersmith user now but our of the two i would use ClientExec.

We use whmap because it allows multisite configuration
