MPDon 09-18-2007, 12:55 PM I'm trying to decide between 2 billing systems, but I'm having trouble finding pros and cons for each. WHM Autopilot or ClientExec D3m0n 09-18-2007, 02:11 PM i am using clientexec. Its very easy to use and learn it, newedge offers great support and also its billing+support system. Especially for billing it has many options like promo codes etc. Give it a try.. twenty 09-18-2007, 09:23 PM I'm using ClientExec right now and I am pretty happy with it, it's simple yet effective and flexiable to my business. MACscr 09-18-2007, 11:28 PM I think CE is the better of the two, but to be honest, i would recommend either of them. LemCorp-Nahuel 09-19-2007, 12:00 AM Both are very great softwares but they have different uses. If you need to run a "multistore" then WHMAP will be the best. For a only one customer side, CE it's by far the best. vito 09-19-2007, 12:11 AM Give WHMCS a look. Great script. www.whmcs.com Vito GlossyHost-Mike 09-19-2007, 03:47 AM WHMCS hands down. MPDon 09-19-2007, 11:17 AM Give WHMCS a look. Great script. www.whmcs.com (http://www.whmcs.com) Vito I'm only sticking with the 2 choices I listed above because those are the 2 billing systems I get for free with my host. I think I'm going to go with clientexec. Thanks for your opinions. SteadComGabe 09-21-2007, 08:04 PM I've been using ClientExec and though I've experienced a couple of problems it isn't bad. Just don't ever 100% depend on any billing system because there's always some sort of problem coming. Good luck! jbwebhosting 09-21-2007, 08:25 PM We've been using CE for a couple years now and highly recommend it. The new Version 3.x is greatly improved; Actually rewritten by NEWEDGE... I'd give CE a shot.. Best of luck to you :D TGJ_Sean 09-21-2007, 09:02 PM I use WHM, it's easy to use but the only thing is the product configuration. Will-AH 09-22-2007, 09:59 AM What are everybody's thoughts on ModernBill these days? We're using MB 5 and the experience for us hasn't been the best in the world, but definitely far from bad. MACscr 09-22-2007, 10:43 AM What are everybody's thoughts on ModernBill these days? We're using MB 5 and the experience for us hasn't been the best in the world, but definitely far from bad. I was a MB user for a couple years, 4 wasnt bad, but full of bugs and was missing a few key features for us. MB5 is horrible in my opinion. Has some great ideas/concepts, but its UI is quite poor and its very slow. We moved to WHMCS and love it. Its not perfect, but its definitely the best option on the market right now IMHO. Aptohosting 09-22-2007, 02:52 PM Pay the $15 per month, and get WHMCS it is hands down the best billing system on the market. This is a guy who has used: MB Client Exec WHMAP WHMCS The free php one Custom stuff Uber Also the support that Matt provides is amazing, less than 30 minute fixes to any issues you may have. Do not cheap out on the program that your entire business will revolve around. arisythila 09-22-2007, 06:05 PM I'm using Modernbill... Works good for me... I've tried WHM, I didn't like it as much. Do not cheap out on the program that your entire business will revolve around. Dont give him false expectations about support. There is no 30 minute guarantee or anything like that. Matt is pretty fast about support, but times definitely vary. akalyptos 09-22-2007, 08:08 PM What about AWBS ?? www.awbs.com i use it for about 1 year and i dont have any problems AdmoNet 09-23-2007, 03:52 PM Hey all, I've used clientexec for years now. It's great and it's very efficient. It is very smooth even with a high-number data stored. Adam GarrettReardon 09-23-2007, 03:59 PM I personally use ClientExec, but that is because my dedicated server provider gives us a copy for free with our dedicated box purchase. I have used WHMCS, and liked it a lot. As for 30 min support response I agree with MACscr, Matt is amazing at fixing the problem but it takes him a while to get too it. Lightwave 09-23-2007, 06:50 PM I've been using ClientExec for several months now and am overall very happy with it. My only concern is that their development release cycle seems a little slow. I've submitted 6 bugs/feature requests and had one fixed in an update (which I figured out how to fix myself beforehand). The others have no consideration yet for a target milestone. :( subzer0 09-25-2007, 03:10 AM Can someone please provide a list of the payment gateways that ClientExec supports? Second section down on:http://www.newedge.com/clientexec/plugins.html (http://www.newedge.com/clientexec/plugins.html) jpatton 09-25-2007, 10:15 AM I have clientexec set up currently although I did look some at WHMautopilot. I had noticed more negative reviews about WHM than I did client so I ended up going with clientexec. They have two different packages depending on the way that their files are encoded. I tried the ion first and had nothing but problems with it being slow and unresponsive. When I switched to the other encoding scheme it has worked beautifully since. Never made any guarantees, just said that he answered my question in under 30 minutes on average. Maybe I just had easy and stupid questions ;) ASG|Andy 09-29-2007, 11:55 PM WHMCS better by far, much easier to use, and more user friendly to clients also. senphoenix 10-02-2007, 05:07 AM A lot of hosting company using ModernBill, you should download their trial version and try out.. BXmanagement 10-25-2007, 03:02 PM I have been using WHMCS for a couple months now. I really like how easy it is to get everything set-up. WHMCS have everything integrated, support, knowledgebase, billing, product/services. I highly recommend WHMCS Vtech Hosting 10-25-2007, 03:07 PM ClientExec is definately the #1 billing and support system in my eyes. Very proffesional looking, ability to add staff, packages, coupons, servers, domain registrars the whole lot. seasideintl 10-25-2007, 11:42 PM I use WHMCS and it works very well for me including support for many web hosting control panels, Easy to set up plans, Easy to use interface, and built in advanced ticket support, It also has easy to edit html pages. mgahrtz 10-26-2007, 04:10 PM I've looked around at both of these quickly, both seem impressive... do either one have a time-tracking module or something for billing design, programming and admin work done on an hourly basis? matt4 10-26-2007, 07:01 PM Clientexec does it for me. Would like some features implemented that where suggested though :) rabbie 10-27-2007, 12:50 AM WHMCS better by far, much easier to use, and more user friendly to clients also. I Agree. It allowes for multiple servers, it connects to domain resellers and even lets you create your own custom products! WHMCS rules! subzer0 10-27-2007, 01:54 AM WHMCS seems very popular. The problem I see with many of these billing systems is the lack of a thorough and detailed manual. I would like to see one of these billing scripts with a properly written manual, which goes into detail and includes screen shots. Whenever I have referenced the manual for WHMCS, Client Exec or AWBS, the content is usually hollow and seems hastily written. BXmanagement 10-27-2007, 02:10 AM WHMCS seems very popular. I agree Starsky, I usually go to the support forums for assistance. eDedi 10-27-2007, 06:24 AM I have used them both is the past. I am a ubersmith user now but our of the two i would use ClientExec. Shining Star 10-27-2007, 08:37 AM WHMCS worth to pay. dynamicnet 10-27-2007, 12:05 PM Greetings: H-Sphere from http://www.psoft.net/ handles all of our billing needs.
