View Full Version : pronicsolutions new design
Jedito 07-29-2002, 02:13 AM I don't know how old is it, I just saw it today.
I can only say WOW!!, this is the nicest host design that I ever saw, it even beat HR design.
For those who didn't see it, http://www.pronicsolutions.com
Synthetic 07-29-2002, 02:17 AM Doesn't seem to be loading for me...
Jedito 07-29-2002, 02:18 AM Works for me
Synthetic 07-29-2002, 02:24 AM The site seems to be working now, but I don't see anything spectacular about it...
alpha 07-29-2002, 02:37 AM They are both great designs but I have to say in comparison, I prefer HR's site more because I find it more well rounded in terms of content layout and organization.
Not saying that Pronic's site is all messy - I just looked at http://www.pronicsolutions.com/domains/index.htm and thought it lacked organization of the content - for example, I'd say that almost 50% of that page is in bold - using bold is fine but it should be used to grab the attention of the viewer/visitor to a specific part of the page. Things like that bother me and I just move on to the next page.
Also, the only thing I'm impressed by is the Flash headers which I am also bothered by since about 60-80% of 56k-ers don't like to wait for Flash headers like that load nevermind their patience for a graphical intense site to load - if it was an intro, fine - have a skip button... if it was a significant part of the site (like a header), then I would recommend you have an index where you can choose from a high bandwidth site or a low bandwidth site.
Last thing, a lot of Flash concepts I see on both sites seem very heavily inspired by the either one or the other - but this is a trend I'm seeing in the design side of the net with the increased interest in Flash development.
Jedito 07-29-2002, 02:45 AM Hi John :)
I think that PS design looks more professional, of course, that's only my opinion.
grandad 07-29-2002, 02:58 AM I think Pronic's site is both pleasing, professional and friendly but the most important thing is the level of customer service and support and that sparkles equally as much as the Flash!

Hola Jorge ;) Of course, everything I post at WHT is my personal opinion unless otherwise stated.

You couldn't have said it better, grandad. :D
TimPD 07-29-2002, 03:18 AM I got his contact inforomation some where.
edude 07-29-2002, 03:28 AM I like Hostrockets more......
it has sound ;)

Don't mind the sound just as long as I remembered to turn down my Z560's and pause or stop winamp from playing - I don't like other sound to interfere with my Winamp playlist :stickout
Thanks Jorge for your good comments :)
I like the design myself :D however I don't think you can compare our design with HR. HR’s design is somewhat different and the flash is more elaborate, with more effects and with a longer sequence.
Dogma 07-29-2002, 07:58 PM Personally, the repeating cycle of moving, distracting images in the header annoys the hell out of me. My eye (getting into designer speak now) can't focuse on the text, it's always drawn to that dang sun thing. Same goes for the keyboard.
It would be nice if it maybe repeated once or twice, and then stopped or slowed down/decreased visibility.

Hey Tim, the repeating cycle of moving, distracting images in the header annoys the hell out of me too :D
CritticAge 07-30-2002, 12:34 AM The top half looks good but is lacking on the bottom half ;)
grandad 07-30-2002, 09:33 AM Talk about picky!

Welcome to WHT!

Roy@ENHOST 07-30-2002, 11:23 AM Well, I prefer our site's flash actually ;-) just kidding.
HR gets my vote because it is more all rounded as the whole page is nice but in the case of PS, you take out the Flash header and you get a plain unimpressive site.
Ankit 07-30-2002, 11:28 AM I like HostRocket's better too, but that's not to say that PS looks bad. PS looks really good too :)
TimPD 07-30-2002, 01:00 PM I have to agree it is annoying. HostRocket is better cause it is a PixelBrick production :).
cabalstudios 07-30-2002, 01:31 PM Nice design, lacks one major design principle; not optimised for high resolution (1600 * 1200) :(
I never thought there would be users that would really have a res of 1600x1200. I have a 20/20 eyesight and a 21" flat screen monitor about 2 feet away with 1280x1024 and I can barely see it.
Thanks for pointing that out though.
cabalstudios 07-30-2002, 03:49 PM :) I have very good eyesight, sit about 3/4 metre away and its perfectly clear...
Also gives plenty of room to have windows open... :D

Oh, I agree with that completely, that is why I have three monitors hooked up to the same machine :D

Last few days here in the UK we've had the windows open too - summer has arrived (for a few days). Clouding over now so I guess windows will be closed soon.
:D :D :D

Thanks for pointing that out though. Who designed your site, if I may ask.
CritticAge 07-30-2002, 06:13 PM I dont think HR is PixelBricks best work  I think their newest is, that green one :)

citrus 07-30-2002, 06:28 PM I think Andy means http://www.rackfast.com (Which is a very nice design, by the way...)
it is a very nice site - too bad they've ruined it with all the popups
HRBrendan 07-30-2002, 08:54 PM there are popups on rackfast?

I think they meant the one popup on http://www.pronicsolutions.com/ offering the free upgrade to the next account if you sign up for them before the end of the month.
Regards,
Michael
I got one popup when I went to the main page (which seems to have been removed) and another about raq's on the dedicated page. Might be more.. I don't wanna check.
Roy@ENHOST 07-31-2002, 12:30 PM Why do you guys hate popups?
I personally think popups are OK as long as we dont get 2 at a time , 1 is OK. ;)
HRBrendan 07-31-2002, 03:30 PM I dont mind popups as long as they are related to the site im looking at, its when u get popup ads for completly unrelated crap that it bugs me.

mahinder 07-31-2002, 03:55 PM Like some guys say, does flash really distract your attention from rest of material ?
prove it
