View Full Version : So who else can't sleep?
Sainthax 07-29-2002, 01:53 AM It's 2am here and I can't sleep.....I've been watching the travel channel for the past 4 hours, it's not very enteraining but I'm too lazy to get up and grab the remote, I've got to get up at 6am and drive 2 hours to meet with someone about buying a building for a datacenter but I just wanna sleep all day, I'm sick of meetings, I don't need more bills anyway...I want a vacation, ya know go somewhere relaxing where the local traffic doesn't involve routers, where the view doesn't involve blinking lights or wads of cat 5 cable **wow they have computer chips in dish washers now...just saw it on TV** oh no!!!! a dell server commercial...make it stop!!! why does dell have commercials for servers on a travel channel?? shouldn't they have a commercial for laptops?....ok now it's getting weird I'm sending email to my phone just to watch it vibrate on the desk
ok I'll stop rambling now, I'm gonna head over the the phpmanager forums and ask Locutus if he's seen the Locness monster over there in Scotland :D
Synthetic 07-29-2002, 01:59 AM I can sleep alot better these days because the temperature has gone down. I'm going to have to force myself to get more sleep, as I have something special coming up and need as much rest as I can get.
Global-Host2 07-29-2002, 02:00 AM I usually stay up till 4:00 am :D
JSpired 07-29-2002, 02:05 AM I'm getting pretty nocturnal myself. It's 1:05am here and we're in the middle of some massive storms. My 145 pound German Shepherd is alternating between pacing back and forth and diving into the tub for cover. (He's obviously not a watch dog!)
..I think I'll be up for awhile! :D
Studio64 07-29-2002, 02:08 AM Comedy Central... Insomniacs friend...
'bout midnight, but I'm up til 2 AM every night.
Chris 24Host 07-29-2002, 03:08 AM Last week, it was unbearable here at night. Definitely time for a some A/C, Just don’t seem to have the time. I’m up till about 2 am because the house is simply to hot, then up early in the morning. 6 hours of sleep doesn’t work well for me.
Synthetic 07-29-2002, 03:42 AM Apparently it's what you don't get.. :D
WoodShedd 07-29-2002, 04:11 AM Yeah I don't sleep at night either. usually partake in sleep during the wee hours.
Be a little better if my TV worked or if I lived within 30 minutes of some sort of habitation.
Im one to stay up til 4-5am. I dont like it that way, because it does get rather boring. I usually pop a DVD in and have it on Auto Repeat :D Ive tried the sleeping pills, but they have no affect on me. Maybe if I get up and jog or something, that will help ;)
WoodShedd 07-29-2002, 04:26 AM When my roommate cant sleep he drinks a bottle of whisky or an 18 case of beer.
That guy drinks so much beer one of our walls is covered in those molson t-shirts.
Hiccups 07-29-2002, 04:28 AM Oh yeah, Nyquil. Works for me!
cyansmoker 07-29-2002, 04:43 AM Can't sleep either...it's now 2 AM here (West Coast).
5 mns ago, I was on the phone with a representative of the french post office.
Guess what? He was INCREDIBLY rude. I couldn't believe it...
This should have been the last thing I did before going to bed, but now I really want a cigarette and I can't have one since my wife and I quit smoking this morning (no, seriously!).
OK, let's get plastered...
24Host Tech3 07-29-2002, 05:24 AM almost 2:30am here. I probably could sleep if I would stop drinking coffee. :D Oh, and the fact I work nights (mornings).
ned patter 07-29-2002, 05:32 AM Ohh i'm up all night, i even had to leave school cause of it.
