You should get a dedicated server with Windows Server which includes ASP.net default.

Why did you not go with RackSpace then?? Have you tried searching through the forums on here for any offers? I believe there must be some UK based offers on here?
Secondly, I think if you post your required specifications for the server, then perhaps you can be guided better based on your requirements, not forgetting what sort of bandwidth requirements you may have.

I really just wanted a top notch hosting package, not a dedicated. So i decided against that option.

The site is for a small oil business, reliability is key though. A few gb space and a few gb bandwidth is all is required but im looking for top quality. If a business like Rackspace had a shared hosting option that would be the kind of thing im looking for.
