How much do you think that an...
Administrator
(general administration, dealing with clients and doing money stuff)

Tech support
(answering support e-mails & phone calls)

System admin
(server administration, programming)

... should be paid?

And finally, my job:
(Server administration, programming, web design)

Consider all jobs to be full time for an hosting company.

Much of that depends upon location of your business (assuming you're not completely virtual), how much experience is required, etc.

One place to start is this list of links for salary surveys: http://jobstar.org/tools/salary/sal-comp.htm#Internet

Administrator: $45k (this is a very broad function, people doing the real financial stuff, eg accounting, usually get more)

Tech Support: $35k

Sys.admin: $65k

One other thing to keep in mind too is the experience levels of the individual. I've worked with some techs who weren't worth $5 (usually hosed clients systems) and others who were way underpaid at $100k. I tend to agree with Boksoft for the administrator and the Sys admin. (Unless the SA has lots of experience and a few certs). For the techs, non-certified phone answerers who read from a prepaired check sheet and are lost outside of it maybe $6-$8 / Hr. If they have A+, add $1-2, if they have Inet+, add another $1-2, if they have an MCP in 9x, add and other $1-10, etc. MCPMag.com had a survey up a while ago, and I believe webhostingmag also did one.

Hope this helped.
