Firstly am a new customer of Namecheap.
I have been trying to transfer a domain of mine for the past 20 - 15 hours and because my administrative information was wrong at the time I never recieved the email for authorisation.
I guess it was my fault for avoiding to change the administrative contact information but at that time I thought it would make my other registrar hold the domain but I emailed them and that turned out not to be the case and they say that I can successfully transfer the domain to namecheap.
I have now done this and it is correct but after around 4 emails I have not recieved any support after I confirmed my details with Namecheap support.
How long does it normally take for there support to get back to you on domain transfers?
Am worried if it's not done soon it will be automatically cancelled and I want this transfer to be sorted out soon as possible.
Am still waiting for a response in order for them to resubmit the authorisation email to my new (updated) administration contact information.

My experience with Namecheap in this case tells me that you'll have to have them cancel the transfer then re-start the process from the beginning. I had to do that once when the confirmation message just plain never showed up.
The lesson here is to always keep your WhoIS records up to date!

Responses should be pretty prompt. If you send me the information I can investigate this a little further and ensure the correct person contacts you ASAP.
I'm on the Hosting side, but might be able to get out the prodding iron and grab someone's attention ;)

Cr4ig,
We checked out entire support database and we have never received an email from the address listed above. Is this where it was sent from?

Hello. :)
No that email address was never used in any of my enquirys to namecheap because it's a email address in which I only use for "personal use"
I have another email address in which I use for domains/business etc..
I wish not to disclose that email tho in which I used for customer support but you will find that the domain smurof.net will be in your database as I have sent many emails to the customer service department and the last email in which I recieved was from a person called Jerry G in which he asked me to provide several details like the EPP as well as the updated whois information for the domain/administrative email in which would be needed to resubmit the authorisation email.
Unfortunatly the last email in which I recieved from customer support was about 1 am (British time) this morning and I have not heard anything since even tho I have confirmed these details not just on the one occasion but on two or three occasions.
I transfered two other of my domains fine but unfortunatly for the one domain I have waited quite a while to get this situation resolved because of my misunderstandings with the policys of moving from godaddy and updating the registration details in which would be needed for the transfer to go ahead.
If you need to talk to me privately my email address is << removed >> AT gmail.com.
I hope we can get this situation sorted as soon as possible and thank you for any support in which is given to resolve this situation promptly. :)

Namecheap support has always seemed to be excellent. I am glad to hear they are still living up to a high measure. :) Good luck on the transfer!
