Hi,
is it possible to move .com domain from namesdirect.com to mydomain.com?
this is what i search and just need to reconfirm?
https://secure.registerapi.com/KM/KnowledgeBase/script_view_document.php?data_id=703
also will it cause any downtime for the domain name...
if i want to move to another registar... and it is using other NS server, will it cause downtime for the domain name?
Thank you.
You can push domains between Dotster Resellers. There will be no downtime if you push to MyDomain or transfer to another registrar because the DNS settings remain the same at the new registrar. So either the old or new dns setting will be found when someone tries to visit your website.

Nope. I don't think it will cause any downtime for your site.

i agrere, not downtime But i dont have idea of how push between dotster affiliates. My mydomain.com com and net look as namesdirect, tough.
I remember if u enter in any of them with you current password, ypu can.. ,aybe is not needed the push.
usernames are in the same database for Dotster and all it's resellers. So you simply push it to the other username. The difference between NamesDirect and MyDomain is only a question of marketing. You'll get the same service from either company. Even their support uses Dotster support services. All services are intermingled. MyDomain even use NamesDirect whois server. Both companies are owned by Dotster. They are not independant resellers.
