Hi I have a merchant account with chronopay, they just restricted my account for third time, they have not contacted me neither of the times for what the reason is, I did always had to write and ask and wait .... wait.... it takes weeks and lots of business lost, they were very good before....now just want the restriction lifted, and close the account...get the feeling they going to try to blaim something and steel the cash in the account...keep you posted.
I recomend to avoid them for the moment.

Hey Tomboy, sorry to hear that. Do you have any idea why they restricted your account? Do you run a high risk business model or did you have many chargebacks recently, anything that can help us to determine why it might be restricted?

As I understand, you have a direct merchant account through one of their acquiring banks? Do you happen to know which acquiring bank? If i.e. you run through PAGO/Deutsche Bank, they might be the problem as their Risk Department is really strict and does not allow anything out of the ordinary.

Yes, we run highrisk account, but if this is a problem for them they should just let us know the problem, they are really bad in keeping you informed of any problems new policies etc...what we know they run it trough Visa Island.

Okay, by the sound of it you are using an IPSP account instead of having your own name on the credit card statement and are paid by ChronoPay and not by Visa Iceland, correct?
Visa Iceland does allow high risk accounts to be processed through these IPSP accounts, however, this still isn't a reason for ChronoPay to hold your money.
Have you had any chargebacks lately or issued more credits than usual?
