Like Api integration. but personally I dont have any experience sorry :( Bangalore Job Mob 09-11-2007, 05:59 PM Lame API, lame website, OK service. cdgcommerce 09-13-2007, 11:41 AM You don't mince words much, do you Bangalore? LOL. Linkpoint has been around for some time. Reviews are mixed - some people love it, some people hate it. I think it really depends who your agent is as to how good your experience will be. If you do want to specifically setup a Linkpoint/CSI (now First Data) gateway & merchant account, my suggestion is to talk to Corey here from the forums. I know him personally and he is a good guy. There are naturally lots of other gateway and merchant processing options out there in the market. Just make sure you select one that gives you reliable service, provides you with a fair contract, no early termination fees, competitive rates and can help you out with technical and support needs that may arise - especially pertaining to things like chargebacks and anti-fraud tools which are of a growing concern these days for Internet merchants. snarkys 09-13-2007, 05:52 PM I use them with my zencart simply because they were the preferred option recommended by zen. that said i have issues from time to time where people complain that they can not complete the checkout but can if they try a while later. this may be from a variety of things but its enough for me not to use them on my next cart with creloaded. i don't know anything about API's but i have read on forums that the API is weak. EvilMan 09-15-2007, 04:54 PM Ok here is your answer about them, The API is slow and junky, it sometimes don't process right. With them you have to sign a contact for 1 year, with usualy a mininium usuage fee every month, on top of the bogus fees for the gateway they own. The Service Sucks, you call them about a issue, and you get thrown around across toll free numbers. You call the number in the virtual terminal, and they send ya to anther number, then thye send ya to anther. But everything is owned by the same company pretty much. Then the website is garbage. Use CDGCommerce, they are better. webspacecreations 09-16-2007, 02:23 AM I have coded PHP solutions for both Linkpoint and Authorize.net. Given a choice between the two, I'd recommend Authorize.net over Linkpoint any day. Now that Authorize.net offers an API solution for their recurring billing feature, there really isn't any advantage to Linkpoint. I don't think it's possible to set up recurring ACH billing via Linkpoint, like you can do with Authorize.net. Linkpoint also has frequent downtime. I would be very careful about tying my business to Linkpoint. snarkys 09-17-2007, 11:23 AM I think i get a email from linkpoint once a week or so about downtime .. |
