Hi all,

I'm just curious. The Java VM from Microsoft's site seemed to disappear. I can't even download it from Windows Update. It only says that it's no longer available for download. What gives? I had to download the Java plug-in from Sun's site.

I was wondering the same thing, as I also needed to download the same plugin.

BTW: Where did you download it off of Sun's site?

Yes you have to get it from SUN's site and be warned that sites that use Java applets like visalware.com, can cause the IE window to close. The only method I know to open such sites is to use a Link Manager that opens them with a click and to open 4 (not less) IE windows at once (quickly, not 1 after other slowly) in order for 1 or 2 windoes to work. I reproduced this on 2 PCs and my LapTop

Or you use Mozilla or so. Bottom line is that, for once, it is NOT Microsofts fault :(

I need some help... I can't download it and receive an error like this:

The install ingine (iKernal.exe) could not be launched.

Error loading type library/dll

If I recall, MS had to change their licensing agreement with Sun.
