Hia, I'm considering taking the jump from using virtual hosting accounts with little bandwidth and random server performance to a cheap dedicated server account.
Rackshack looks like a good bet for my first host, their cheap and although theres a few bad posts about them, you'd expect that with the volume.
I'm curious as to how easy it is to manage a web server using things like Ensim, do i run dns on my server, or use a rackshack dns server to point domains back at my server ?
I've got alot of solaris sysadmin experience, and linux isnt that difficult so i should be able to manage most tasks, so i'm not too worried about needing a "babysitting" host.
Is it worth waiting to see what appears in the bargain basement on rackshack, or just jump in with an ensim ?
Any other advice greatfully received.
