I have a .com site that I am moving to freewebs.com
How do I get visitors to the old domain name to be automatically directed to the new site/address?
I registered the domain name with Namecheap.com so will I just need to change the DNS/nameservers through them?
Any help would be appreciated.

You need to be a premium member of Freewebs to be able to change to their DNS.
You can however redirect the domain from Namecheap. See demo on how to change URL forward settings: http://namecheap.simplekb.com/kb.aspx?show=article&articleid=32&categoryid=0
Select 'URL Redirect' if you want your Freewebs url to be shown in the browser address field after redirected.
Select 'URL Frame' if you want your domain name to remain in the browser address field after redirected.

Does the old domain server has any control panel? You are doing a host transfer or need to redirect the old domain name to a new domain name?
