Hello guys,

Could someone advice please how I can transform cPanel backuped accounts to>> DirectAdmin.

P.S. I personally prefer cPanel but someone asking me to help with this and I am not sure how to go.

If accounts are less you can do this manually. After creating the accounts in DA, transfer the files. Restore the databases from the dump files.

I have used this script in the past and there can be the occasional error so make sure that you keep your old account on cPanel until you have fully tested the port over to DirectAdmin to avoid any loss of data.

it will take more time to do it manually, especially when you have large accounts.

I have just converted around 30 accounts with ~ 40GB data without trouble. Just had to reset one mysql password. Everything else went fine. What error do you have?

It was mainly just 2 or 3 accounts failed either e-mail or MySQL and then if the user name is too long it will not restore properly either. Saying that thought its only been 2 or 3 out of about 200 accounts and the errors were easily fixed.
