Are there any site5 resellers?

I know Matt is very active on WHT, and has provided good support to people, which I would take a good sign :) JustinH 02-28-2001, 03:35 AM As far as Site5.com's reseller plan goes, it seems pretty pricey (especially for the private DNS's). However, I do have to say they offer a pretty impressive product. The one thing that really impressed me is there dedicated servers. They come stocked with a ton of software, and the prices aren't bad at all. However, I would have to suggest overall venturesonline.com for a reseller and dedicated service. There packages and pricing is pretty much unbelievable. However, more so then that, their support as been most impressive. Talk to Daniel or Paul over there, they have answered EVERY question I've had and even installed a couple of PHP addons without charging me anything... Just my suggestion! Matt Lightner 03-02-2001, 08:42 PM Hi Lila, Ventures online is a great company. I have personally worked with them as they currently subscribe to BillAdmin. I'm sure you will be very pleased with the service that they offer. I have yet to hear a single complaint against them. I thought certs are to renew yearly? JustinH 03-04-2001, 07:30 PM The one time fee is the first year fee + an installation fee ($75.00 if they install it, hence the $200). At this point Paul at Ventures Online said that having resellers install the certs can screw up the server software. Either way, they do overcharge slightly on that, generally speaking I see $25.00 as a suffecient amount for an installation fee. The $50 is a LITTLE overcharged (especially since, if you partner with Thawte they give you a $25 discount on the first year). Anyways, if you order it, the one-time fee is $50.00 for installation. If they order it they charge you $125.00 for the cert plus $75.00 for installation. Overpriced but still, their service has been great, as well as their package/discount/upgrade prices. In addition: If you do go with Venturesonline what I suggest doing is partnering with Thawte as well, and then knock down their prices $25.00 (since Thawte gives you a $25.00 discount). That way your only charging a $25-$50 installation fee. You don't earn anything from it, but hopefully EVENTUALLY they will allow resellers to use the SSL installation feature (as do many VDI hosting companies)...
